    Question for Creationists

    When I say there is not enough evidence for evolution I am not saying "there isn't enough evidence to convince me and therefore you should scientifically accept Creation." Typically if I were to say something like that (and normally I don't do that), I would be saying it from the standpoint...

    creationsts drinking Kool-Aid

    Alright, two questions here. 1. Since I cannot explain creation, why not accept evolution? Jerry, you should know this by reading my previous posts. I believe the Bible in a completely literal sense. When you read Genesis literally it completely flies in the face of evolution (back to the...

    creationsts drinking Kool-Aid

    If a person is truly a believer, or truly wants to be a believer, then the explanation that God created this wonderful world in a mature state should be sufficient I would think. I don't pretend to understand how creation happened, I just know that it did. David

    Question for Creationists

    If you take the Bible literally, then how can you believe in evolution? The Bible says He created the world in 6 days and that Adam came from the dust and Eve came from His rib. How can you see evolution in that? And I do not believe that the "there is not enough evidence for evolution" is...

    creationsts drinking Kool-Aid

    The problem evolutionists have (some of them anyway), and I guess the problem many creationists have (again, some of them) is that they believe they need to prove themselves and their beliefs. Creation doesn't need proof. Just like God doesn't need proof. If you require proof of Creation...

    Question for Creationists

    I can't speak for all Creationists, but I do not think that any amount of evidence would convince me of evolution. The reason for that is simple. Like you said, the Bible is infallible and God is infallible. I think that evolution is a creative way to try and prove otherwise. Any evidence...

    The Bible supports Science

    This, as most things, depends on how you look at things. Not how you look at the Bible, mind you, but how you look at the world. I clearly see God in everything I look at. I clearly see a world that He made. But I don't clearly see evolution. I see a world that appears old, and the...

    Liars, stupid, or both?

    If you believe that Genesis is just a story, what evidence is there for that? When the Bible uses stories and allegories, it makes it clear (like or as is usually used). None of this is in Genesis. What I find interesting is that people who believe in evolution think the creationists are...

    Creation evidence?

    For those of you who believe that Creationists do not write books, please feel free to look at www.creationscience.com. I have only read a tiny part of this book, but it is interesting. David

    Liars, stupid, or both?

    Whoever wrote what Jerry is quoting is a moron. As you can tell from my previous posts, I am a staunch advocate of a literal interpretation of the Bible, Creation, and all that good stuff, but to say that ALL evolutionists are liars is way off base. I do not believe evolution to be true, but...

    Creationism = Flat Earth Believers

    Essentially I am asking this. When Jerry says this: "The Bible does not actually conflict with evolution no matter how you read it." my question is how he can read that in the Bible that Eve was created from the rib of Adam and then say that the Bible and evolution do not conflict...

    Creationism = Flat Earth Believers

    I still have not heard an answer for this. What interpretation of the Bible and the story of Eve being created out of the rib of Adam supports evolution? If you are saying that only a "wacko literalist" puts science at odds with the Bible, then what interpretation do you take to make this...

    Genesis interpretation question

    I am going to get blasted for knowing the exact verse, but I am pretty sure that the Bible states that all animals ate plants before Adam sinned and death entered the world. David

    Genesis interpretation question

    One other fact of the Bible that doesn't work well with evolution is that Eve was created from Adam's rib. If evolution was caused by God, then Eve would have been created the same way Adam did...which would be opposed to what the Bible said.

    Kent Hovind

    I would like to see where he said that. If he did, then I have no problem admitting I was wrong. However, even if he did, why is it unbelievable that an all powerful being can speed up light? He created the light, why can't he speed it up? David

    Proof of Creation?

    I didn't say everything is cryptic in the Bible, but there is a lot more in it for believers than non-believers. As for being damned for thinking. God doesn't do that. However, people will be judged for thinking that they know more than Him...that is called pride. David

    Kent Hovind

    I have seen most of Kent's stuff and he doesn't say that God made light travel faster (but if he did...is that ludicrous to think an all powerful being can do that?). He said that God made the world mature, and that would create the fact that starlight can reach us. I am not saying that...

    Proof of Creation?

    The statements I made sound like nonsense to a non-believer and that is fine. But think of it this way. If you were an all-powerful being (which isn't something we can grasp, but go with me here). Would you write a book that ALL of its secrets would be available to everyone? Wouldn't you want...

    Question for Evolutionists

    Wow...did it get hot in here or what? It appears that I fit in with the "quaint pre-enlightenment" crowd....which is fine with me. I take the Bible as literal truth. I can't see how you can take it anyother way? I mean, who are you to decide which parts are true and which are false? And...

    Creationism = Flat Earth Believers

    It is stuff like the creation of Eve that force me to doubt evolution. I can't think of a way to interpret that AND support evolution. David
