    Did we disprove evolution yet?

This is one of the most ignorant comments I've read on this forum. And that's saying something.

    How can u believe it?

The reality is common descent (including common descent of primates) has real-world application particularly with respect to modern genomics. However, creationists seem completely unaware of this fact.

Intelligent design to be taught in Queensland schools

Given that most IDers accept common descent, I'd say these YECs have no idea what ID actually entails.

    Cosmos map from Planck telescope

Possibly a scientist or someone really good at faking it. :P I don't believe that AoS is a fundy. His posts have this ridiculous over-the-top tongue-in-cheekness to them. I think he's just bored.

    Cosmos map from Planck telescope

I dunno. I prefer to think of them like Andy Kaufman.

    Faith In Science

    Oh snap! :P

    Faith In Science

But the point is they can learn. If the barrier is lack of knowledge/understanding, then the solution is learning. And that's something a lot of people who don't "get" science need to understand. The only thing standing in their way is themselves. Anyone, if they have the time and...

Global Cooling Spells Trouble For U.S. Bee Population

Odd. When I took post-secondary science classes, I had profs who emphasized that theories in science were subject to scrutiny and change, and that nothing in science was set in stone. Granted, I never studied geology...

    Faith In Science

Given that this is clearly an attempt at a ridiculous strawman, I'll pass thanks.

    Faith In Science

The problem with this argument is that you're spreading the definition of "faith" very thin and basically comparing apples and oranges. Do people have "faith" in scientists? In a generic sense, sure, although I'd probably use the term "trust" over "faith". But this is basically true of a...

    Did we disprove evolution yet?

The difference between the species Latimeria chalumnae and the order Coelacanthiformes.

    Did we disprove evolution yet?

Forget it. This is clearly over your head.

    Did we disprove evolution yet?

I recommend reading up on biological classifications (particularly the difference between orders and species) before claiming a specific species was thought to be extinct, when that particular species had never been discovered before.

    Did we disprove evolution yet?

Given that Latimeria chalumnae was only discovered in 1938, I'm not sure how anyone could have thought it was extinct. Of course, this has nothing to do with the fact that creationism's been thoroughly eviscerated over the last 200 years.

    Did we disprove evolution yet?

Sadly for creationists the only way to arrive at such a conclusion is by virtue of ignorance, insanity or satire. I'm assuming you're the latter?

    Did we disprove evolution yet?

I'm pretty sure creationism was thoroughly eviscerated over the last 200 years.

    Textbook recommendations

Evolution: 2nd Edition - haven't read the most recent version, but prior Futuyma textbooks were great for a broad discussion of evolutionary theory.
