Jordan Peterson slams Pope Francis’ fixation on ‘climate change’: ‘He should be saving souls’

Welp, that sucks. Guess whoever said he was close is wrong.

Jordan Peterson slams Pope Francis’ fixation on ‘climate change’: ‘He should be saving souls’

From what I hear he’s inches from a conversion himself after being at his wife’s side for her confirmation on Easter at the Vatican. I imagine spending time around Matt Walsh and Michael Knowles has pushed him that direction. Not to mention his ringside seats to his wife’s conversion. He’s a...

Mass of the Ages, Part 3

Wow I never heard a thing about a third part, the first two parts had a lot of promotion and publicity in the lead up to their release. I wonder why the third part wasn't? Weren't the producers kind embroiled in some controversy some time over the past year? I could be wrong. At any rate...

Fell behind on Cdl Burkes novena, what to do?

As in, I'm WAY behind. I did the first day and then I haven't since. SO, should I do all the ones I've missed between then and now or just pick up on today and go forward?

Bishop calls Easter observance of Transgender Day ‘offensive and unnecessary’

And the ridiculous thing is going forward that stupid day will always be on March 31st but Easter will move around, so that just goes to show that our "Catholic" president did it to deliberately commit sacrilege.

Famed Director Martin Scorsese to Produce 8-Part Docuseries on the Life of Saints...

I hope he doesn't scandalize them and try to suggest that "oh they were actually corrupt". Hollywood loves that stuff, any noble creature in history whether they're Catholic or not, they LOVE to say that person was secretly gay or corrupt or had some kind of vice that nobody knew about and the...

Trent Horn's new book looks timely and very good

Yeah I'm not a vague person when I want something, in the past I would've just ordered it myself but I figured I'd give a gift idea this time around, ha!

Trent Horn's new book looks timely and very good

He tweeted the cover art yesterday which was the first I heard about the book, but it seems very appropriate for our time and I hope it at least gives Catholics comfort in how to live in such times if not solutions to push back and help correct it. I dropped a hint to my wife today that I'd...

Pastor arrested in India after being accused of ‘illegal conversion’

It's sad because it's not like Christianity has the same relationship to the Hinduism as Islam, with all the animosity between India and Pakistan you'd they'd set their sights on Islam instead. Christianity's been there for 2,000 years in relative peace, or so I thought.

Italian Catholics reverting to ancient Roman gods, seers and sorcerers

If they revive the Cult of Caesar then I couldn't help but think we really are in that moment of Revelation... Same, it's bizarre how "sexy" witchcraft has suddenly become to Gen Z and Gen Alpha. Like it's no big deal at all. It really feels like it's an attraction based in ignorance rather...

Pastor arrested in India after being accused of ‘illegal conversion’

I guess I thought the radicals were more on the fringes and not influencing policy as much as they apparently are.

Pastor arrested in India after being accused of ‘illegal conversion’

I'm not sure if I never knew or just forgot that conversion was illegal in India, I know it's forbidden in Islam but didn't realize Hinduism had a problem with it. I was always told the only/biggest challenge with converting Hindus is their polytheistic framework is so ingrained in their...

Which actor was your favorite portraying Jesus

Caviezel for sure. We just rewatched The Passion of the Christ this afternoon and he has an authentic look in his eyes. There's something about the look that Roumie has in his eyes that feels wrong, like he's aware he's popular for playing Jesus and he's reveling in it.

Morbid question but what would happen if the Holy Father passed away during Holy Week?

It's nice to properly understand the protocol. I wonder if through 266 popes there's ever been an instance of this happening. I'd have to crosscheck each pope's death with the date of Easter each year.

Morbid question but what would happen if the Holy Father passed away during Holy Week?

That makes sense. I wonder if they could have the conclave in the background while still celebrating Holy Week, and just hold off on the white smoke until Easter Monday?

Morbid question but what would happen if the Holy Father passed away during Holy Week?

What takes precedence, the Holy Week celebrations and observances or the papal conclave? Would the ranking Cardinal stand in for the pope or would they rush a vote for new one? It's just something I was thinking about when I was considering what Napolitano said about him and also knowing how...

POLL: How do you observe Friday abstinence?

I know it's come in the past, I might've even done a poll in the past. But I had a down moment in my workday and decided to make a new one. I'm just curious how friends here practice Friday abstinence: is it something you observe only during Lent? Do you do it year-round? Did you used to do it...

Cardinal Pizzaballa’s Meteoric Rise to ‘Papabile’

If there was a scale with the German synodal cardinals on one side and the African bishops on the other, where would Pizzaballa land?
