Why are Christian's Scared to say what one MUST do/believe?

Jesus commanded us to go into all the world and proclaim the gospel: Mark 16:15-16 English Standard Version (ESV) 15 And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will...

If someone denys that Jesus is God and the Trinity, can he still be saved?

If you refuse to believe that Jesus was God incarnate, a perfect sacrifice for our sins, then how can you come to saving faith in Him if you reject who He was?

Why are Christian's Scared to say what one MUST do/believe?

5 pages and I've yet to see the basics of the gospel defined. Guess we can't even do that.

Music: If it feels good, do it!

So now my knowledge of Baptist history is called into question, nice. Trust me, I've been in a Baptist church (early on Free Will and since high school Southern Baptist) since I was born. Which is probably longer than you've been alive. My father has been either a Pastor or Teacher throughout...

Music: If it feels good, do it!

Ah, a simple google search would enlighten you that you're wrong about the creation of drums, unless voodoo was around in 6000BC World's Oldest Musical Instruments And let me get this straight, you're fine with piano, organ and possibly other instruments but not electric instruments and...

Avoiding church due to hypocrisy and lukewarmness

A good example of this is how Louie Giglio handled the recent controversy over a sermon 20 years old and chose to step down from doing the Presidential innauguration. It's not the vision of Passion, both the movement and his church, to spend all their time railing against homosexuality and...

Avoiding church due to hypocrisy and lukewarmness

Since no one else in this thread has said it, I'll be the first to go out on a limb and let you know that what you're expressing here is false doctrine. There are multiple verses by Paul (some posted here) that dispute your claim. So you're no better with the "truth" than the ones you're...

Music: If it feels good, do it!

Furthermore, to Epecho and ChaseWind: I'm not aware of any Baptist churches today that don't have some sort of accompaniment in their worship services, even if it's just a piano. The only denomination I'm aware of that only sings acapella is the Church of Christ. Are the 2 of you...

Music: If it feels good, do it!

Wow...there is so much poor reasoning/theology in this thread. I don't even know where to begin... Let me tackle a couple of statements... What is your basis for this beyond your own conjecture and poor understanding of scripture? Were there any other types of believers in the OT? It was...

    Confession?

Baptist pastors do not have any authority for forgiveness of sins. Confession and repentance are an act between you and God/Jesus directly, no need to involve a pastor/priest.

    What Would You Do...

Pretty sure my pastor has done this at some point. I know he wore a football jersey once. Didn't bother me one bit. God isn't concerned with our outward appearance as much as He is about our inward.

    End of time timeline? help?

I'm sorry, when did Spurgeon become the Pope of the Baptist church and Infallible? Theologians since him that are within the Baptist church disagree with his view. What determines who's right and who's wrong, beyond the notion that Spurgeon was first so he must have had a perfect understanding...

    End of time timeline? help?

Just because my view doesn't line up with yours, doesn't equal foolishness and "hair-brained fanatics". There are many theologians that are much wiser than I am in Biblical truth that agree with a Pre-Trib Millienialism view. What is your deal with only wanting to believe what some guys who...

Complete side note to BryanN84, what formatting did you use to post the video as a embedded video instead of a link? Now that I'm over 50 posts I'm trying to figure out how to posts images, videos, etc.
