    Now that youve known life

I'll put it like this. Following Christ and the ways of the bible will keep you out of so much pain, trouble, misfortune and disappointment. If I am wrong as a Christian when I die, I lose nothing. The way I chose to live my life worked well and provided much peace and comfort. If I am right...

Why are some Christians desiring to stay single?

This makes much more sense and some of my suspicion was rooted in this answer. Your first response did puzzle me and glad you clarified.

Why do God put desire to get married in people who cant get married?

I LOVE that movie and that ending is sad with an emotional score by Brad. My tearjerker is the ending of Dead Poets Society or Fast 7 saying goodbye to Paul Walker

Why are some Christians desiring to stay single?

I am puzzled by your response.... please elaborate so I can send your message to the people who say I will rot in hell for being childless (yes these are people in church)

Why do God put desire to get married in people who cant get married?

exactly my point. I would be horrified if a guy came over to my place, sat down on my couch and started crying. Women do this all the time with each other. Men have emotions too but it is near impossible to be that vulnerable with other men.

Why are some Christians desiring to stay single?

A perfect example is the command of being fruitful and multiplying to fill the earth. That only had relevance twice in history. In the beginning and after the great flood. By choosing not to have children, you are not disobeying anything or turning away a command as it is no longer relevant.

Why are some Christians desiring to stay single?

These are the words of Paul, not God himself. People do this so often with biblical references. Paul was speaking these things during the downfall of Corinth where chaos and sin were running wild. Honestly, the USA and much of the world may be mirroring Corinth at this point and it may be...

Why do God put desire to get married in people who cant get married?

God put the desire in us to know and be known. Here on earth, the greatest form of that between people is marriage but it can be achieved without it. From a sexual standpoint, it cannot if you are to honor His commands. For those who had/have desires in that realm who go into their 30s and 40s...

Do most millennials spend their time alone?

I spend much of my downtime alone. I do go to cigar shops though to enjoy cigars and great views. I am not personable with people in those environments and really, no one else is either. I just deal with loneliness a lot failing to meet anyone that I really click with. Everything is just on the...

Why do God put desire to get married in people who cant get married?

I want nothing to do with kids so that has been a barrier of mine.

Why do God put desire to get married in people who cant get married?

the 100 year study showed roughly 28% of men from 1919 to 2019 never married and 37% never had any kids. That number is likely to get higher very fast. I am part of that 28%. I came down with health issues back in my 20s and lost a lot of work forcing a career change and now at 34, it's just too...

Why are some Christians desiring to stay single?

with that being said, if you are not to marry, you are to devote your life to Christ. Most who are single and not marrying are not doing so. You don't get to live your life single for you. I am not condemning you or anyone else who does so as I am doing that very thing now. We have free will but...

"It is not good for man to be alone..."

I bought a game system (Xbox Series X) for the first time in 14 years just a few months ago. I never thought I'd touch one again after 2009 but here I am.

    A vision for my singleness

I have chatted with a few women in Norway and Canada. There seem to be more aligned with me outside the borders as well so maybe that will be a future endeavor for myself too.

    A vision for my singleness

I have read many of these and one was a study saying 63% of men under 30 are single. I'd be willing to bet that isn't the desire of most of them and while much of it is their fault, there is a lot of issues stemming from women's side as well. Unrealistic expectations, often from an addition to...

Do I have the gift of singleness?

It kind of is a decision. You must choose to accept it. Many don't and end up in chaotic relationships. In regards to the first point I quoted on, Many people enjoy singleness and living life for themselves which means they answer NO to the second part of your question. I understand the bible...

    A vision for my singleness

I am honestly not looking. I live in St Augustine so it's mostly college girls and divorced women in their 40s+. I go to Orlando and Atlanta for work a lot but 2 of my non-negotiables just don't sit with many single women (no kids, no alcohol). I'm coming to the acceptance of just doing life my...

    A vision for my singleness

being single my whole life (earlier by circumstance, I tried not to be) and now more by choice, I have altered much of my life to make things easier on me. I eat at odd times if I go out to avoid crowds who see me alone, I go to movies on Tuesday in the early afternoon, I hang out in pool halls...

"It is not good for man to be alone..."

This is why many wealthy folks buy land, have homes on several acres and live out a bit from the inner city as they know these things come with being too close to too many people.
