    Abortion

I didn't say it was quoted from Scripture. I asked two questions and you answered them. It doesn't change my comment.  And by the way, I know my Bible well enough to know to pray for you...fervently.

    Abortion

And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you. That is from the last line of your "so called" signature.  Who is speaking and to whom is this person speaking? When the day of judgement comes (and it will come whether or not you or any other...

    Permissive Christianity???

Can anyone please help me understand Hebrews 6:4-6? I know other passages point to our permanent inheritance, but this one has caused me confusion

    What is evolution?

I can understand how an atheist can believe evolution.  I would like to know on what Scriptural evidence do the Christians on this thread rely to support their belief God created the universe in six time periods, millenia, or whatever, as opposed to six days? Thanks

    Abortion

Yes. But in this country, abortion does not = murder. According to the dictionary, to murder means to un lawfully kill. Unfortunately, abortion is legal. We can call it "a woman's choice, a woman's right, a private issue between her and her doctor", or whatever other euphemism we want, but...

    Abortion

There is such a thing as absolute truth, and the God I serve is it's author. He is absolutely holy, righteous, and just. You obviously don't understand God sets the standard, not any of us.

    Abortion

Just because something is legal, doesn't mean it is right. When something is wrong, and abortion is wrong, we shouldn't then ask, 'Well, it is legal?' This issue will never be resolved until people have a change of heart and realize that just because the baby is not born yet, doesn't make it...

    Abortion

Actually, scissors are pushed into the head, open so as to open the orifice and the brains sucked out!!! No ACLU, tree-hugging, animal rights person would ever stand for such to occur to a rat, but it's okay if it happens to a baby.

    What is evolution?

What new species? A frog, a tree, a mammal? You can breed plants for thousands of generations and no matter what VARIETY you get, you still end up with a PLANT.

    What is evolution?

I, too, asked this question and was told to view previous threads. I read the previous threads. Still no answer...It would millions upon millions of mutations over millions of years to statistically get enough "beneficial" mutations to make a leap between species. I DO NOT profess to understand...

If you have time: How many believe this?

Well, Matthew 28:9 states (NIV) Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshipped him." Both the KJV and NKJV use the phrase "held Him by the feet." In Luke 24:36-39 (NKJV) it states "Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the...

If you have time: How many believe this?

I definitely agree with the initial posting. It is almost suicide these days to even mention such things in public. The gospel of Christ proclaims His Deity and His sufficiency. Not a single one of us can earn our own way to Heaven. John 19:30 "It is finished."

    What is evolution?

 How many beneficial mutations would you have to have in order to evolve from one thing into another? Does not evolution progress by "millions of mutations", or "small, almost unnoticeable changes" in an organism? The processes of a single human cell are so intricate, that if any of...
