    Marriage struggles...

Lin, it sounds like to me that you married a narcissist. My husband has many of the same attitudes and qualities that yours has, though my husband is more of a covert narcissist so he tries to hide them most of the time. I've been married for over 25 years and they don't change, sadly. There is...

    any flower lovers?

I have a butterfly bush too, but not many butterflies. I bought six milkweed plants in the fall, and hope they will grow and bring butterflies to my yard. I have lots of bees though so that's good.

    Birdwatching, Anyone?

I live about an hour away from a winter eagle feeding grounds, and it is amazing to see many bald eagles all in one place, both on the ground and soaring above.

    Birdwatching, Anyone?

I get more birds at my feeders in the winter than I do in the summer, especially during a cold snap.

Do you ever get irrationally jealous? Does your spouse?

I think it is possible for married people to have friendships with the opposite sex, and not get into trouble, especially if the friendships are casual and the people involved don't have a history of unfaithfulness. I don't think it is a good idea for most married people to have close...

I really need help with this one.

Does your remote control have a caption button? That makes it very easy to turn them on and off. Our son has hearing loss so our family has been watching TV with captions for years and we have all adjusted to them. In fact, both our youngest and myself prefer to watch movies with captions on...

Do you ever get irrationally jealous? Does your spouse?

My husband tends to be jealous of anything that takes my attention away from him, especially my children, but he's rarely ever been jealous over other men. In the early days of our marriage my husband told me about women who paid him attention, or attractive women that he saw, and what they...

    Heaven is for Real

I read the book and saw the movie. I enjoyed the book more than the move, but still thought the movie was well done. I agree with Inkachu, why was heaven being a real place so shocking for a pastor, and why would that shake him up like that? Also, there is a scene where an older woman is asking...

    Six Problems Killing Your Marriage

I think number one can be a big issue for those who have been married a long time. Number six too, especially if they include passive aggressive into that category. I could see number two being a problem for some.

Should he be tested for ADD?

We did have him tested, as I mentioned a few posts ago.

What plans do you have for your garden?

Yes, castor oil comes from the seeds/beans. I've never used it either. It's quite an interesting plant, with many uses, both good and bad.

What plans do you have for your garden?

Oh, I just read that the seeds can be eaten if the hull is removed.

What plans do you have for your garden?

Did your goats get sick from eating the tomato leaves? That's too bad about your llama. Why on earth would anyone eat castor beans? Was there supossed to be some sort of amazing health benefit from them?

What plans do you have for your garden?

I'm growing castor beans because it's a interesting looking plant, and I don't have any young children to worry about. If people only realized how many plants are in their gardens that are poisonous, they might be horrified. I mean there's potatoes and tomatoes just to start with, and no one is...

What plans do you have for your garden?

My tomatoes don't ripen until late August at the earliest. It's a long wait. I'm trying to grow castor beans for the first time. They are only seedlings so far. I'm also growing onions, lettuce, radish, cucumbers, sunflowers and a whole lot of other flowers.

Is being attracted to someone else adultery?

I don't think it is wrong to be attracted to another person, and I don't see how we can even help it at times. That being said, I think we should make an effort to keep our thoughts pure and our mind on other things. I don't think your wife should be asking you if you saw any attractive women...

Would you marry a Jewish person

Yes, if I were single and loved him and he was a messianic Jewish person. He would have to believe in Christ as someone else said.

What is so hard about love and respect?

I think there is a difference between respecting someone as a human being, and respecting someone as a godly person and role model. Every human being should be respected, but not every human being can or should be your role model, if that makes sense.

What is so hard about love and respect?

Oh, akmom, I think you may be right about that. Some people are moody, and look for things to be moody about.

Was waiting worth it for you?

I waited and I think it was worth it because for several reasons, but the primary reason would be because God wanted me to wait.
