Woman Clothed with the Sun 2017

Aha - haven't posted in a long while - but I see astrological silliness is still alive and well on here.

Message from the Dawn of time...

Michael - as the years go by you just become a parody of yourself. That is actually quite a remarkable achievement - useless but remarkable nonetheless.

    A universal fad, tattooing!

You do realise a cult is just a religion with not enough members yet. Where I am from the Baptists and Pentecostalists and all manner of fundies are looked upon as cults. Usually rightly so I might add.

Derive a sense of timing from the structure of Revelation

Maybe the numbers in Revelation make no sense because people are trying to attach meaning to gibberish.

    The pope gathers all religions

What a shock - a thread on this forum that bashes the Catholics. Fundie love at its finest.

    Dark Matter

Good to see the naive about physics crowd are still going strong. And I see, since I last posted much on here, there is a new convert to the crowd. Anyone posting about the Pioneer Anomaly in regard to this is just grasping at straws. It is not a plasma dominated universe and has not been for a...

Never asked for your bloody opinion anyway - it was the silliness of the OP I was responding too.

    A universal fad, tattooing!

What happens here seemingly is no research is done when a subject is addressed for the first or any other time. And no I do not accept 2 Tim 3:16.

But what occurs on here most of the time is not discussion or interpretation. Instead we get duelling cut/paste wars in the aforementioned garish fonts. And Scripture is not an arbitrator - that is a path to silliness or circular reasoning at best. What makes me laugh are the people on this...

At least opinions need formulating - cut/paste 'argumentum ad scriptorum' is worthless to man or beast. Sadly that is what 90% of this board seems to consist of - cut/paste Scriptural passages (usually in some garish colour/font) with nothing behind them. Worthless.

LaSpino3 - you made factual errors in your post. Not our fault you cannot or will not amend them. Pretty much it seems you are blathering on in a pretty much unintelligible manner. It's holier than thou preachers, telling others what to do, like you - that are a bigger problem than all the...

And some people think aliens in UFO's really exist and are angels - doesn't change the fact some people are just plain daft.

I'm afraid you are the one who needs to do some homework. I can only surmise the rest of your comments may be as ill researched as the history of tattooing exercise. Also, writing in the 3rd person often indicates mental instability or narcissism.

    A universal fad, tattooing!

Both of these comments are incorrect. I cannot take the rest of your post seriously. There are more important things to worry about than peoples tattoos or the flogged to death abortion issue which has just become tedious if nothing else.

2 Million US Scientists Identify As Evangelical

Well that just confirms what I thought - this was not a poll of scientists but a poll of people who think that they are and might have done a degree with some science content. In 30 years of academia I have never met a "YEC scientist" - an oxymoronic term if ever there was one. In fact I...

2 Million US Scientists Identify As Evangelical

Much of this depends upon what is defined as a scientist. I would hazard the guess that they are counting people with a degree in science or engineering or even social sciences. My personal experience as an academic scientist is that atheism/agnosticism is running about 80% and various faiths...
