I've personally never been faced with an order that conflicts with my faith. But everyone in the military has the option to say that they are a conscientious objector; but that typically, if not always, means that their time in service will come to an end.

But when you tell me people joined to "see action;" I hear "fight for my country." I'm not saying there aren't some people in the military who may have a moral compass not pointing due north; but to just say that they joined to do horrible things to other people seems like a stretch to me.

I feel the same way; I have MUCH better days when I spend part of it working out and basically beating my body to death LOL; I'm a little intense sometimes.

Well, being active duty I support the military in all aspects. I will always hope for resolutions that don't require bloodshed; but, as i said previously, I support my brothers and sisters in combat completely.

That's a really good question. I vote republican because I was raised with pretty conservative views. Growing up the party that best represented those were the republicans. Being that I am active military I am not going to say more on the election than I did not vote for our current president...

Well I haven't been to a Presbyterian church in over a year. I live in Georgia now, instead of Ohio where i grew up, and Presbyterian churches are scarce here.

I think you should vote how you feel. If one of the main candidates doesn't stand for the things you do then look for someone who does.

I never said I have a problem with alcohol or dancing. I drink socially from time to time and dancing in general is something I enjoy.
