Death in the Sanctuary - inspired by Bob Dylan

This blog was inspired by Bob Dylan. Think of the tune for I Shall Be Free No. 10. Sunday after Sunday, sermon after sermon, church after church, lesson after lesson; no matter where I turn from the greatest shrine with the grandest luxury to the smallest store front with the least of vanity...

    Christians under martial law???

I tend to follow after the positions of Augustine and others like him. At least I am in good company. :) Christianity Today put out an article, ironically only days before 9/11 that discussed these views briefly. I don't have enough posts to provide the link but you can find it by doing a search...

Looking for a Church near Springfield, MO

I actually have attended the South Creek Church and Gospel of Grace. It's been a while, though. Maybe I will give them a try once again. It's a struggle to get out to Springfield because it is so far away (40+ miles for me) but I need to be somewhere with like-minded believers. Thanks again!

Praying for a church home near Springfield, MO

Thank you, Gail! I posted on the "Looking for a Church" forum and am reading through some of the posts now. It is so hard being in a little rural town. I think I am the only one on here from little ol' Niangua, Missouri - lol. We only have about 450 ppl. Thank you everyone for your prayers.

    Christians under martial law???

If a wicked man came into your home and attempted to rape your wife, would you passively turn the other cheek? If someone came into your home and tried to kidnap your children would you sit there idle and allow it to happen? There are many great resources and books that have been written down...

Praying for a church home near Springfield, MO

I am really struggling at the church I currently attend. I have been praying for a couple of years to be able to find a church that honors the Word of God. Seems like they are few and far between now-a-days. I live about 40 miles north east from Springfield, MO. Anyone in the area know a church...

Getting out of this dirty Sin, I have to cut the booze.

I struggled with alcohol in my life a lot. Fasting helped me to get over it but it took a long time to get to the point where I was willing to fast. It helped me not only with the self-control but it drew me closer to God. He used fasting to set me free from alcohol and I have been free ever...

Looking for a Church near Springfield, MO

I am trying really hard to find a good Reformed church near me but they are few and far between. I am currently attending a Pentecostal church just to have fellowship but that is hard on my convictions. I live in Webster county, Niangua if you know that area. It is north east of Springfield. I...

What you think of Paul Washer?

Paul Washer has had a tremendous influence on my Christian walk. I am encouraged to hear people who are bold and who can stand up in the pulpit and speak with courage. He lived in Peru for ten years so the culture shock has probably been a little difficult for him to adjust to on returning back...

False Prophets Signal Judgment not Revival

Many people in the church today think that God is bringing revival to America. They point to mega-churches led by Rick Warren or Joel Osteen. Some point to large revivals such as the Toronto Blessing or the Pensacola Outpouring. Still others refer to miracle workers like Benny Hinn or Rodney...
