    Pres. Bush News: Abortion, Abstinence.

It would be nice, too, if everyone realized that you don't HAVE to have kids. There are some out there who don't realize it's truly an option , not something you have to do, not a mandate.

    Badnarik, Cobb arrested

I think it's rather unfair to block anyone who isn't a dem or a republican from debating in the elections. It needs to be shown to people that there IS another option. This IS America, everyone should be allowed their voice, 15% of the votes or not. I'd vote Green or Libertarian...but Greens...

    Pres. Bush News: Abortion, Abstinence.

Sex education doesn't mean that the kid is going to go out and have sex. It doesn't mean that they aren't going to go out have sex either, but at least if they do, they are informed. Teaching abstinence only doesn't mean that the kid is not going to go out and have sex. It doesn't mean that the...

Why The World Hates George W. Bush

Well it would be nice if he had the integrity to fess up to his miscalculations, mistakes and such...

    The D-word again... Draft.

I say if you made Bush (or any other president) serve with the men he's sending over to kill and be killed, you'd probably not have as many little tiffs with other countries and our men wouldn't be spread all over the place. I would think a veteran would be a better president than someone who...

    America is Undressing

well yeah I agree there is an "age- appropriateness" when it comes to being clothed. I'm just talking body image in general, though.

    America is Undressing

Very true Bellman. I believe I read somewhere that the Gnostics are responsible for those attitudes that have permeated into general Christian culture. And coming from a Christian perspective: if our bodies are temples to God, and "made in his image" so to speak...then how can/could they be...

Christian intolerance shows they are not Christian

Oh but it so much more ego-boosting to love oneself and ones like yourself and consider all outside of that "bad" "evil" and unworthy of love! ;)

Why aren't there topics about Racism generally of CF?

Yeah, I don't necessarily buy that line of thinking either. I would think everyone is different just coming from different families. Different skin color does not necessarily mean you can't have enough in common to have a successful marriage. On second thought, she also disagrees with it...

    Abortion: All Should Read

Great point Arikay. I feel safe in saying that's probably 99.9999998% of prochoicers, like myself. I am all for retaining the ability to control our person, our personal lives, and our personal choices. HOWEVER...I do not think terminating a pregnancy to be right. No one likes...

Why aren't there topics about Racism generally of CF?

My guess is that pretty much the majority of people on here believe racism is wrong...so perhaps it's not as debatable as some other hot issues with more varying opinions? My family's church is in rural PA and 100% caucasian. My grandmother was born and raised rural. One time I mentioned I...

    Did God Make Gays, Gay?

Re: the OP... I dunno, I'll ask Him after I die. Till then, however he made them-and whether or not he made them that way- I will love them and treat them just like everyone else. And regarding the claim that animals cannot be "gay" or at least engage in typical homosexual behavior...

    Mud slinging

What's that song again? "Dream the Impossible Dream"? I agree with ya Zen... Too many on here are firm in their beliefs and have their heels dug in the mud, though. Debates are a lot more convincing when the mud is kept to a minimum. When it gets too deep, I think the legitimacy sinks.

Abortion opinions and the age of females .

Interesting. I think part of it is that they just want the option, period- whether it is "moral" or "ok" or not. Quite a reasonable assertion. Probably carrying a kid to term and raising it does change your personal stances on abortion. Probably because you can personalize it more, you know...

Death Penalty. Could you push the botton to kill this man?

One thing is, if that person that is incarcerated wrongfully - at least they still have a life to live after release, while those executed innocents aren't so lucky.

Death Penalty. Could you push the botton to kill this man?

That's what makes me unsure of my stance of the death penalty. I always think "Could I be the one to insert the syringe, pull the switch, or whatever it would be to take this other person's life?" 99 out of 100 times, I don't think I could, no matter how heinous the crime was that put the man...
