I find it odd/sad that anyone cannot like or at least respect classical music. It shows a severe lack of a musical maturity/knowledge/clue.

Even if you look past the "non-Christian" (i.e. vulgar/decadent/anything goes attitude and proud of it) angle of much of music today, music is in a sad state from a simple musical perspective. Pick a genre, they're all floundering badly. Rock is on life support, jazz is dominated by painfully...

Piano. IMO it is one of the easiest instruments to learn and yet so versatile. Of course if learning all those chords trips you up maybe not :) Guitar is one of the hardest IMO. For single-note instruments, I guess any of the woodwind/brass, many of them are similar. Might try the recorder...

I didn't "put words in your mouth," I made a reasonable conclusion based on your response to "So does everyone who is not a christian go to hell" as you said "pretty much so." The oversimplification was yours, which is my point. The real answer to the orig question is obviously "no."

Because people love their pets. That seriously needed to be explained? I have no idea what any of that even means or how it's relevant. I'd have to question a "Heaven" where any beloved pet isn't included. Why would they be exluded? I kinda doubt they'd be terrorizing people in Heaven. :)...

Isn't it great when entertainers use their fame/fortune to push their political agendas...... :nausea: I remember seeing Linda Ronstadt in concert some years back (huge fan) and she stopped in the middle of it (an election year) to go on and on about the presidential candidates and (surprise)...

Good point. Like most things, it's a question of degree or balance; it isn't simply a question of judging or not judging. Also in how it's done. That doesn't make "taking it back" though...more like being clear about it.

Please tell me that was sarcasm. I do think their idea is just another example in a long line of politically correct nonsense, but to act like it's a grave sin or denounce them as not being Christian esp if it's just for this...IMO that is rather absurd.

True, there are people who love being miserable, though the article was kind of odd in that the author doesn't appear to know the meaning of the words he used to describe his "types"...for ex. a drama queen doesn't necessarily think they're better than everyone else, a skeptic is not necessarily...
