So are you saying that we become in fear of hell because of the law then run to Christ of our own accord out of fear? I would take that more to assume that because of our sinfulness we need to despair of our own ability in light of the law and recognize that we have no salvation apart from God.

I think that the preaching of hell in terms of hellfire and brimstone is completely wrong and not to be tolerated. All that does is drive people to believe that they need to make a choice for God out of fear in order to evade eternal torment. The love of God in salvation gets reduced to...
