I think, on balance, that the most useful advice I could have gotten at that age would be, don't mix beer and spirits. Seriously, just don't. It's nearly always bad.

Since it's possible that an explosive device could be swallowed, or worse, a terrorist could infect themselves with a lethal contagion, I think the only way to be certain of safety is to kill all potential passengers, seal them in lead and fire the corpses into the sun.
