Throughout my life and my trials I've learned that there is no greater comforter or friend (at least that's the way it's always been for me)

I try to devote some time to him at least on the hour...maybe through a song, book, or a prayer. I just try to remember him every hour...of course I'm not perfect in doing so.

I think it's enough to just love the Lord and serve Him to your best ability. You don't need to do what everyone else is...just go to Him as you and He will guide you.
