What made us live in a house?

Since most people who accept evolution in the United States are Christians, you might want to rethink your position.

What made us live in a house?

Um Juvenissun, building a structure to sleep in is a common trait among primates. I cannot think of one off hand that dose not build a "house." Edit, of the great ape family.

    Carnivores and the Fall

Why toss in physical death then? Physical death seems to be the cause of the theological problems, using it as the punishment of sin causes the Bible to be out of step with the revelation of creation. Since truth cannot contradict truth, then I'd say the item that causes the written revelation...

    Carnivores and the Fall

This is only a problem if one believes that physical death is all there is and that the Bible could not be talking about something deeper and more spiritual than mere physical death. There are also other problems with the physical death idea, physical death still seems to be here even though...

    Theological Problems of Creationism

You are a biology student and yet still speak of things evolving to a greater order? What kind of classes are you taking that teach that an where? There is something wrong with your biology department if they are teaching the ladder idea of evolution. And what is this "evolutionary force"...

    New transitional whale fossil

I would say the opposite would be true, one will have an even harder time telling the "lineage" of cars once genetic algorithm are used. With a genetic algorithm, all work is done in a computer and the prototypes never see the light of day. This is why genetic algorithms tend to make leaps...

    New transitional whale fossil

Actually a quick glance at the skull I see mammalian teeth, a mammalian jaw, and mammalian skull features. I don't know how you could confuse this with a crocodilian skull. The teeth alone should be a dead giveaway that this is a mammal.

    New transitional whale fossil

That is not a drawing, that is a photo with color enhancements so the fossils are more easily seen. There are pictures without the color enhancement in the article if you wish to look at them too. Since you did not know this and just assumed it was a drawing, I am going to have to assume you...

    Interesting news from Holland

Thanks, I have just watched the first few and will catch the rest when I have time, but so far they are very good and quite interesting.

    Carnivores and the Fall

You seem to be confusing the OEC gap and day age theology with TE/CE theology. There might be some TE/CE that follow gap or day age theology, but I do not know of any here personally.

    Theological Problems of Creationism

I think you are reading him wrong AV. The only one in this forum that seems to be concerned with "pwning" other people is you. Maybe you are projecting just a little here.

Are Martian colonies compatible with our origins?

My position is "Why not?" . I personally think that it is a good idea to spread humanity around a bit so we are not all killed the next time a big rock hits the planet.

Lets say God came today and held a press conference...

Even though I am a believer and this is more of a general theology question, I'll give it a crack here. There is no possible way to know if this person claiming to be God is telling the truth or not. You either have faith in this person or you do not. No scientific or other human endeavor to...

Why do YECs refuse to do real science?

Interesting, what do you think science should be able to say about an event that left no physical evidence and was not even witnessed at the time it happened? As I have said before, creationists seem to put far more faith in science then anyone who works in the field.

Why creationist can't pass peer review

Science does not deny the supernatural, it just has no tools to study or define the supernatural. I find it interesting that many creationists on the other hand often use nature as if it can deny God. As if a natural explanations rules out God. It is as if they put more faith in science then...

    Is this true?

Why should I believe a third rate magic trick that even I can do is somehow caused by a mutation? And no I was not kidding, I was hoping you were, but after our discussion on music I cannot be sure. I also hope you are kidding about the fork bending thing, but again, given some of the things...

    Is this true?

No, it is not. Who told you that wishing, hard or not had any effect on genes? This is not something I have ever seen in scientific research, but maybe you have seen something I have not... Or maybe you are just making things up.

    Is this true?

Are you suggesting that I can change my genetic make up by just wishing real hard?

Why is "Big Bang' so important to Creationists?

Well, there is part of your problem... As of late there has been far more sci-fi on the History Channel than actual history. Sadly I have seen more good sci-fi on the History Channel than I have seen on the Sci-Fi Network recently. I am sorry that some if not many of the recent crop of writers...

How would creationist deal with alien life?

The evidence of age that I have personally seen would indicate that the Earth is atleast millions of years old, and I have been given no good reason to believe that the radiometric tests are wrong, so I would have to say about 4.5 billion years, give or take. I think you have misunderstood the...
