    gun control people

California already controls guns to a ridiculous degree, and it didn't stop him from acquiring it and bringing it in to the airport. It will be interesting as where he bought it, if it's a pre-ban or post-ban either bought out of state or if he built it himself. I'm actually surprised the TSA...

    Another School Shooting

I had to think about this one a little bit. If I had to choose between living in an illusion of safety or my right to keep and bear arms, well I prefer to live in a society that allows it's citizens to keep and bear arms. We should try and bring the number of deaths down, but not at the...

    Another School Shooting

Bull, you can't get rid of murder weapons and still let people have hands. Yesterday the news reported a 14 year old killing a 24 year old math teacher in Danvers with a box cutter. Guns are the equalizers, they allow a 90 year old to defend themselves against a 20 year old. Equating gun...

Nation's largest gun shop dropped by VISA for selling ... guns

Ordering a firearm online is a little bit of a pain, but it certainly isn't illegal. You can order and pay online, but they can't ship you a firearm**. They have to ship it to an licensed dealer, then the licensed dealer has to receive it and log it in his bound book by federal law. After the...

should there be less gun control in the usa?

Yes, there should be less gun control. As of right now we have a lot of stupid laws on the books that only exist for the hell of it. Like 922r which requires a certain number of US made parts on semi-auto rifles and shotguns that meet certain conditions, and importation bans of certain calibers...

    Dear George Zimmerman

What stupid law? He couldn't retreat as he was pinned to the ground. It was a case of simple self defense.

I don't think we should have to go through that whole process anyway... So, no.

3-Year-Old Accidentally Shot With Rifle In Louisiana

He is right. I bought most of my guns online as I collect older style ones not commonly found in stores. The process always goes something like this: 1. Find Firearm 2. Place order 3. After order is placed you will receive an email requesting ya copy of your Federal Firearm License OR...

I am not making that statement. But I'm still against further regulation.

I read your link. I just have a hard-time believe it based on my subjective experience.

3-Year-Old Accidentally Shot With Rifle In Louisiana

I've bought guns online and at gun shows. Both of those actions required a background check. Private sales between individuals residing in the same state do not, and I don't know that the Federal Government actually has proper authority to mandate commerce that occurs within state boundaries...

3-Year-Old Accidentally Shot With Rifle In Louisiana

We can't do anything about gun reform because enough members of the public are opposed to it. The culture is getting more divided. Locally I'm seeing more and more people in the mid to late 20's getting interested in guns, but have no interest at all in hunting. And personal safety is usually an...

It's a political loser. It's much easier to do nothing than make a large number of politically active people angry.

Guns Kill More People Than Motor Vehicles in 12 States & DC

I am going to disagree slightly. You are correct that the number of manual safeties have dropped. The number of automatic safeties has increased. Just about every manufacturer today implements some form of drop safety. I despise the magazine disconnect in the new Ruger MkIII it contributes...

Guns Kill More People Than Motor Vehicles in 12 States & DC

Loaded Chamber Indicators are very common. grip Safeties have been around for over 100 years. they are common in some pistols. Others have different mechanisms. Seatbelts and Helmets arent required if you are over the age of 18 where I live.

Guns Kill More People Than Motor Vehicles in 12 States & DC

The first is called a loaded chamber indicator. All new Rugers and Sig pistols have them. The second is a grip safety. All 1911 clones and Springfield XDs have them. Manufacturer's are thinking these up and putting them in. But many consumers don't want them.

Guns Kill More People Than Motor Vehicles in 12 States & DC

And they are run over by a car the seatbelt was kind of useless to wasn't it? If you pull the trigger on a loaded gun it is supposed to fire. That is what they are designed to do.

Guns Kill More People Than Motor Vehicles in 12 States & DC

Well many guns have a number of automatic safeties built in to them to prevent them from discharging unless the user pulls the trigger. Many other's have manual safeties in addition to the automatic ones.

What are the causes of firearm accidents and are they avoidable?

Why not? It's fun, it's legal and as long as I follow the rules (like any physical activities) it's safe. So there is no reason not to get into it. I understand the concept you are espousing just fine. But it holds no value to me. I do many things every day that could result in an innocent...

What are the causes of firearm accidents and are they avoidable?

I shouldn't WANT to own weapons? Why not? Many people own many things that are dangerous. I didn't want to own any weapons until about 3 years ago, when I got to fire a pistol for the first time. It is a very enjoyable activity for me, why shouldn't I want to do something that is enjoyable...
