    how do we know?

Hi! The only thing you have to go by is what God has revealed to us in His Word. John 14:6 says it the most clearly though "...I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." God has given you free will and only you can choose to believe for yourself...

What does the Bible mean to you?

It is God's revelation of Himself to mankind. God holds His Word higher than His name, and because of this, I reverence it highly as well. God has preserved His Word through the Holy Spirit and will reveal the meaning of it to those that seek to find His truth rather than inserting their...

Hello! We have a team from Spokane headed to your side of the world tomorrow. They are going to Novorossiysk, Russia to do an outreach as part of CCPM. We just sent them off tonight with a large prayer meeting and are sure that God is going to move on this outreach, mainly because of the...

    The Illusion of Control

What do you make of the people that fall away after trials and the cares of life come upon them? Did they just believe in their mind without the commitment of the heart? Interesting thought.....

    I spoke to an atheist

If you only answer what you know, you are much better off. It is OK to tell someone that you don't know the answer, but you do know for sure that "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but will have eternal life." Even if this...

    Choosing a denomination

Was there anyone in particular that led you to Christ? Find out where they go and tag along. If not, How about a family member or friend who is Christian? If you don't know any Christians, start with a neighborhood church. Find out if they have a pamphlet or something like that which...

    In need of advice

We are the body of Christ and regardless of whether or not we agree with each other doctrinally (apart from salvation issues, ie. the deity of Christ, literal resurrection, etc.), we still need each other. The first scripture that came to mind was: In other words, no, we shouldn't be dissing...

Must I speak in tongues to be Baptised in the Holy Spirit?

Saulball, What I was pointing out is that Paul clearly states that not all who are baptised with the Spirit will speak in tounges. I do not see another way to read 1 Corinthians 12 any other way without reading into it your beliefs.

I'd like to pray with you as well, Father God, I lift up OW and her family to you as they are trying to find a church home. I pray that you would guide their search and bring them to the church that you desire them to be in. Lord, I pray that you would use this experience as a way to...

Teachings of Paul verses Teachings of Christ

I wasn't aware that they disagreed and we needed to choose between one or the others teachings. I choose the whole counsel of God!

Must I speak in tongues to be Baptised in the Holy Spirit?

How about when John the baptist baptised Jesus and the Spirit descended on Him like a dove? He was baptised with the Spirit, but did not speak in tounges. I also do not understand how you can build a doctrine by saying that divers tounges are "different". They are a gift from the Holy Spirit...
