    How Many Americans Can't Swim?

I can manage a semi-decent dog-paddle, but I think it's mostly instinctual. I don't know how I'd fare in rough ocean water or a river with a strong undercurrent. I'd rather not put myself to the test.

Islamic police smash 80,000 beer bottles in Nigeria

All that beer... They could have sent it to me. What do they care if an infidel who's already hell-bound drinks something that's against Islam? *Sigh* All that beer...

    NASA grounded

Well, the Shuttles need to be grounded and either completely refurbished or replaced with better designs using more up-to-date materials. I remember most of the current shuttles launching the first time when I was in elementary-middle school.

why is american government so angry because our car wreckage politics?

England does. I know they have Fords, but I believe they may be made domestically, like the US does most of its Japanese cars.

Hardee's manager says 'God's hand' saved him.

No, that's self-awareness. Existence as observed from each viewpoint IS all about self, because you certainly can't experience it as not yourself. Everyone's universe revolves around them. That just comes from being a sentient being. I'm still alive because I'm still alive. Nothing more...

Hardee's manager says 'God's hand' saved him.

It wasn't his time. Were I in his shoes, I'd be thanking God. Much as I did when I came out of a recent car accident relatively unscathed, when by most other folk's views, It looked as if should have died. It wasn't my time then either. It's not egomania, it's just... the way it is, as I...

    Evangelicals spurn cremation.

Isn't saying "____would be too hard for him!" putting limits on a being which is supposed to be able to do anything? Eh, this whole controversy is strange to me, but whatever.

    Evangelicals spurn cremation.

If God can't put together a cremated body again, I feel sorry for him. I think God is powerful enough to bring together the component elements that make up a person's body again to resurrect them, as that is all cremation does. Speeds up the process of decay which can take years. Bodies that...

Well hey, look on the bright side. At least you guys have more than two parties that stand a snowball's chance in hell of winning to choose from. Look at us... Could be worse... We usually have only the devil we know and the devil we don't know to choose from. Figuratively speaking...
