Hi everyone! I haven't been on in a very long time! I am now living on my own in an apartment in the city of Charlottetown, PEI Canada. I am going to start going to church more regularly. So i have a few questions about the faith. First, is it okay if I read Stephen King novels? Second, can I...

    Gord Downie's "Secret Path"

Watch this video, it's eye opening: It troubles me what those children went through because of the Canadian government and Catholic Church. Thoughts?

    Bible versions.

Hello, all! I am a Roman Catholic researching other denominations. I was curious, I have a KJV and a NIV 2011 Study Bible. Which would be suitable for usage in the Lutheran church? I heard the NIV 2011 is frowned upon, but do Lutherans use the KJV at all? Thanks! :)

    Any Linux users?

Hey OBOB! Long time since I posted here. So, for a while now, I've been using Linux exclusively. I am currently running Deibian 8.5 Jessie. It runs great, and I have completely abandoned Windows. I like Linux because I believe in open source software and free software alike. Well, thanks for...

    NIV 2011?

Hello, new to this sub forum. I have a question. How widely accepted is the 2011 revision of the NIV? I have recently purchased a NIV 2011 study bible and quite like it. I've heard some people dislike this translation. Thoughts? Thanks! :)

    Creationism?

Hey all. Just wanting to know the arguments for six-day creationism. For example, how would they explain the many years it takes light to reach earth from distant stars - this would make the 6,500 year old universe impossible. Also that and carbon dating, geological records. I do believe in...

    Some advice needed.

Hey, OBOB! So, I moved back to my Dad's house at least for a year. I don't have a clear way of getting to church every Sunday but I'll just have to make do. Anyway, my question is this. I have the NABRE and the second most recent NAB. The NABRE I have is in very small print, and as some of you...

    A few questions.

Hi, haven't posted here in a while but, I have a few questions. Firstly, about the Tower of Babel - how do fundamentalists view that? Do they believe this is how multiple languages and people were scattered throughout the earth? How do you as fundamentalists view dinosaur fossils? What...
