What Does the Bible Say About Garden Gnomes? Can Christians Have Them?

Unless you're worshiping these gnomes as idols, praying to them making sacrifices to them. Then this is not a sin. You need not worry or be concerned. Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise is a legalist and false teacher.

    Closed Communion

And I consider closed communion to be a grave sin that is practiced by those protestant enthusiasts who do not believe in the bodily presence of Christ in the Sacrament. So at least we have in common that the other practice is in grave sin.

    Closed Communion

Any conservative Lutheran body will not be in fellowship with non-Lutheran denominations. We would require there to be the complete agreement of doctrine for Altar and Pulpit Fellowship to be declared. Which is why despite both being confessional and having a history with each other...

Why did you choose to be a Lutheran?

I wanted Jesus, I became so burned out by groups telling me about Jesus rather than giving me Jesus. Lutheranism is the only church where Jesus is not just an abstract concept. So I did the unthinkable and withdrew from my Reformed seminary and joined an LCMS parish.

    LCMS evangelical?

Yes, I am LCMS. Currently a seminarian. The Pew Forum is wrong. Like most people, they get very confused by Lutherans. From the Reformation until the late 1700s, early 1800s the terms Evangelical was a synonym for Lutheran. To call someone a Lutheran was to call them an evangelical, to call...

    Thinking about becoming Lutheran

Lex orandi, lex credendi. As we worship, so we believe. If we worship like a bunch of Baptists then we will sooner or later believe as Baptists do. This is why much of the LCMS is in a mess. It's bought into a lie that says that they can have Lutheran theology with evangelical teeny bopper...

If someone is saved it is 100% the grace of God, if someone is not saved it is 100% there own fault. The problem is that you're trying to make sense of it. The reason you're not understanding it is that you're trying to understand it. It's not supposed to make sense its supposed to be biblical...
