    Looking for a study plan

i can relate to you. i just cant stand being around people. CHURCH in the NT never means a building. We are the church. if a couple of believers get together, it's called, "assembling yourselves together". i think the greek word for church is akklesia, or something like that, and never means a...

Exodus 19, Hebrews 12, 1 Thess 4 and Rev 7 are talking about the rapture

coooooool Alot of times in the OT, God would go before the Jews and defeat the enemy. Indicative of how Jesus has already defeated our enemy. We're not conqorers, we're MORE THAN CONQORERS. I can understand somewhat what it would be like to be a conqorer...but i cant begin to fathom being...

Exodus 19, Hebrews 12, 1 Thess 4 and Rev 7 are talking about the rapture

The animal sacrifices that occured in the OT on the "day of atonement" was a type of the sacrifice of Christ. He being the final sacrifice. The "Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world".

Is it just me? [moved from Ministry]

million pieces, i admire you for your convictions. This could be a very deep subject. i've often wondered about the drastic change that's happened just in my own lifetime. But we have a clue as to what it was like just 50 years ago. Just look at the tv and compare that to tv 50 years ago. I...

Please...no more law! No more ministry of death!

Hmmmm... just a question for pinetree and squint. i see both of you are christian in faith and not Jewish, correct? Well i can't help but wonder why y'all have debated this long on a subject that has nothing to do with GENTILES.?- call me clueless ! If you're a christian, you were never...

How do you discern the true anointing and the false?

good stuff jazz...as always! personally, when i humble myself i think God is more apt to use me. And (call me crazy, but...) i've noticed that when we gather together in His name and worship Him from the heart...the Holy Spirit releases power and it almost seems like the anointing is "thicker"...

    Are demons angels or humans?

Where does Jesus say Moses was the devil? Terrible definition of satan, and untrue. And the way you try to explain away 1/3 of the angels...? If you were right...then in order to cast out a demon you'd have to decapitate them. Wrong again.

    Are demons angels or humans?

It doesn't say that 1/3 of the angels went with satan when he was cast out of heaven in your bible? So Jesus was having a "vain imagination" whenever He cast out demons? Jesus told His disciples, "Do not rejoice because the SPIRITS ARE SUBJECT UNTO YOU..." Is there another way to take this?

    What is Your Cross?

For some reason...when i got home last night there was a woman on the local christian radio station teaching about "take up your cross" ! She said that Jesus' true disciples are the ones who are never satisfied with their current spiritual condition, but long to be conformed to His image...

    What is Your Cross?

I agree with Jazz. To me it speaks of something that we have to do on a day to day basis. Elsewhere in the NT it says to "consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive in Christ" I also think "taking up your cross" has to do with the way we serve others. Why did Jesus take up His cross? For...

How do you discern the true anointing and the false?

"All of God's gifts and callings are WITHOUT REPENTANCE"-scripture. The Holy Spirit is more than a gift. It is our seal unto the day of redemption. We can't lose Him. And God doesn't take Him back. The difference is that in the OT men weren't indwelled with the Holy Spirit. Anointing...

How do you discern the true anointing and the false?

Within the past few years i have learned something about this "anointing". I used to go to a certain church where Jesus was almost unheard of in sermons, because the pastor was too busy glorifying himself or the church. Bragging about all the money he had. I'll just say it like this; my spirit...

    So distressed

What you're describing is something we all go through. You said that you were reading Psalms and it seemed like the words were for you? THEY WERE FOR YOU!!! Those things do not happen by accident. That was Him speaking to you !!! God may not have spoke to you in a voice that you can hear...

    What are your feelings on....

I don't think anyone is picking on you, rather we are showing how easy it is to be "led astray". Or fall under a false doctrine. Everything (so far) that has been said is all the truth. You asked - we answered. I'm sorry if our answers arent what you are looking for. But we've been honest...

    Music?

The scripture you're refering to here is taken WAY out of context most of the time. People think it means we can just do what ever we want... Do you know what the CONTEXT of this passage really is?

    What are your feelings on....

WOW...you're someone who thinks exactly like i do. That was very profound by the way. What you described is what i call having a "smorghasboard" religion. You just take what you want, and if something's not "appetizing" to you...LEAVE IT.

    Unequally yoked?

I encourage anyone considering getting married to do a very extensive word study of what it means to be "yolked". My memory is very poor, but maybe this will jostle someone elses memory in order to add to it. When they used to "yolk" animals together, the yolk was actually a piece of wood...

    What are your feelings on....

In order to be a christian, you have to accept God the way He is. Play by His rules. Obide by His word-THE BIBLE Anyone who tries to go around HIS WAY is creating their own God

Could ALL of Gods Laws REALLY Have been NAILED to HIS CROSS?

Here it is; Romans 2: 11 thru 16. It's interesting that the author said it twice in the same breath. In fact, pay attention to commas and parenthasees and periods. This is all one sentance. One "context" or train of thought.
