The false teachers are smashing away at my faith foundation.

No, no one is attacking science, its quiet a great thing. I truthfully enjoyed reading Simon Templar's post. Thanks for the response.

    Would you give Christianity up?

Science has proven the Bible wrong, and proven evolution, so yeah, it's not an absolute. The question, "would you give it up" is not hypothetical, as it has been proven by modern science to be wrong and many christians are still following it. In this modern age you don't need 'faith' to be a...

The false teachers are smashing away at my faith foundation.

Not... really? Your kinda wrong about that... My "faith" was not based on miracles... I told you I was a Christian before this... this just brought out doubts in my mind... I started to realize that if all these false teachers have such a following... and there false... then you can be false...

Christian Rock'n'roll - does it exist?

I don't know if i'd call it "rock and roll" but there's quiet a few Christian artists from the 70s and 80s that may be interesting to you. Look up Susan Ashton, Rich Mullins, Carman, Carolyn Arends, Keith Green, Petra, Third Day, Sierra, Charlie Peacock, Big Tent Revival... there's others too...

PLEASE help me. Questioning my faith.

There are many people working in the area of Apologetics. They have been much help to me recently, because, I too am struggling like you. There is comfort in other Christians.

    Pre-conversion sin restitution

I, uhhh... was unsettled by: Jesus took all of our sin on the cross... he became like our sin -- he was shunned by God, for a time. Nothing we do can make this worse or better. And no, while going around on some kinda holy "I'm Sorry" crusade may be a good idea, Jesus (nor God) requires or...

    Prophets.

Sometimes you hear, "If a prophet says something and it does not come true, he is false." What about prophets that have been told things that wont happen for years to come? Much like what the prophets said about Jesus? All the time I hear that Jesus was told about by prophets for years (say...

If being homosexual is a sin, then why did God create homosexuals?

Its heavily debated if Homosexuality is a sin or not.

"Are you Charismatic?" "Yes, but ..."

The charismatic movement used to be: The gifts of the Holy Spirit are around today, and can be used by followers of Jesus. Today (the "new charismatic," or "Word of Faith" (?) idea) is leader-based. And the leader is the main person "healing" and holds regular beg-a-thons. Humm. Well - you...

The problem with the Charismatic church today.

Hello. Thanks for reading. I wanted to say that I found the major problem in the Charismatic church today. First, let me tell you a story. This is Steven. He goes to a Charismatic church. He gets Word from the Lord (like a Word of Knowlage) that the new-member of the church has had a divorce...

A new televangalist...we can all support!

Sharon your so right! :amen: This man is obviously of the enemy, out to confuse the Church! Pray for discernment for his followers!

    Maybe Giver is right...

The sin that God cannot forgive (without being unjust) is rejecting Jesus. Paul sinned many times after he was in christ. Jesus forgives all.

Does anyone remember what Bill Johnson said about Todd Bentley?

I can, and do not defend Todd Bentley's sin. As for the meetings... A very trusted memeber of my small-church leadership visited the Revival. At first (just hearing about it) they where unhappy. It was an older man (60+) and the whole idea sounded silly to him. But he went. With his wife. And...

    Trying to convert atheists-sure-of-atheism-- unbiblical?

Recently on this Forum I ran into a user that calls himself, "RomanSoldier." This is not an attack on him. I have a hard time answering a question from someone titled an "anti theist missionary" as I know my answers will be scorned. Sayith the Lord: "Do not cast your perls on swine." (Matthew 7)...

If I where a charismatic leader/preacher I would be worried about anything I said.

Discernment is different then heresy hunting. Of course I want my whole congregation to check everything I say up to the Word of God in the bible! My point was that I'd have to stop and question for a long while if in the middle of a sermon God told me to say something I had not pre-planed...

    I think I'm now officially "post-Charismatic"

I dont think I like the idea of a Christan Agnostic. What do I mean? Those that "see two things in the bible and dont now what one is true."

If I where a charismatic leader/preacher I would be worried about anything I said.

Thank you. Thats something I forgot to mention. People incorrectly discerned Jesus--- AND THEN KILLED HIM under the belief he was a blasphemer! (I understand Jesus was murdered for other reasons then that, but it was a major cause.) Be careful in your discernment, I've read some stuff that...

If I where a charismatic leader/preacher I would be worried about anything I said.

No. No long essay. No huge rant. That's it. If I was a charismatic or WoF teacher I would have my speaches pre-planned and checked over by a personal review-team of pastors from many denominations. Why? Because just about anything just a little off is extracted and "Discerned" by "the elect"...

Todd Bentley Concerns View These Videos

The person in that link seems hateful and has posted many (and I mean many) posts slamming, slandering, and trying to "expose" just about every WoF leader thats out there. I respect (and love) the poster of those things as a brother or sister in the Lord, but it reads like one of those people...

MSNBCs poll "In God We Trust"

I'll be interested in how the 80% (or so) of americans that claim to be "Christan" respond to this.
