Keeping Kids in School...while said Kids are sick...

Punishment? Depends: 1) Miss more than five days, and you'd get a warning. Miss more than Nine, and you get held back. More than fifteen, you get expelled from the school system ( considering the fact that my school is a charter school) My parents can't do much about it. I was already taken to...

I'm trying for that option, too. But knowing my school, they'd probably want the extra media attention.

There's already talk on that, since several student's were taken out of school to go to the hospital because I had the same illness the week before.

Keeping Kids in School...while said Kids are sick...

All my past absences were due to stomach illnesses that required me to be at home or else I'd interrupt my whole class schedule. The only other excuse is going to my great-grandfather's funeral.

Keeping Kids in School...while said Kids are sick...

Well, I recently found out that due to being absent eight times, I am no longer allowed to have sick days. Convenietly enough, this rule is implemented not only in the time of the growing swine flu epidemic, but at a time where I catch the ordinary flu. Yet even after asking and pleading to go...

Is it ethical for teachers to be tracking a students private blog?

Oh, they had MySpace, LJ, Facebook and those kind of websites blocked for about three months before they gave up and allowed them to be on. But the main problem they were faced with was that some time ago, a ninth grader was caught finding certain images on Google images, so while they had the...

Is it ethical for teachers to be tracking a students private blog?

That's what me and one of my friends did for a project, except it was a poem on how to "properly" dispose of bodies. Granted most people payed attention to the rhymes and such, but we were never in trouble for that. I never even wrote about killing anyone on my blog, not even in those posts...

Is it ethical for teachers to be tracking a students private blog?

Well, most of the every day ones are just about life and the times. But it could have gotten much worse. I mean, they should have seen this one English journal one of my former classmates did for English...mein gott, that was just blatan rascism.(but of course, that student never got into...

Is it ethical for teachers to be tracking a students private blog?

Eheheh, someone found the link to my blog. I dunno what to say but...hola. You've seen my blog. How was it, weird, dumb or just there? Anyway, yes, unfortunately, I was forced to have many of my entries friends-only, and the aliases were changed to be more discreet( in other words, from being...

Is it ethical for teachers to be tracking a students private blog?

Technically, I never mentioned their names. i only referred to them as the chemistry teacher or the english teacher, and I was very careful to not mention specific mannerisms of theirs. And I used to refer my school as my school, but I've taken the habit of calling it mein schule. Besides that...

Crazy video I found of a woman berating her child for being an athiest

...um, Hitler was a practicing Catholic, and Mussolini I believe condoned his actions for Christianity's sake. Don't hate me for it, I'm just pointing those little facts out!

Is it ethical for teachers to be tracking a students private blog?

Well, I was out of the CF loop for quite a while, and there is a good excuse for it; about some time ago, I created a LiveJournal blog the day after my freshman year ended. I had no intention of telling anyone in my school about my journal, and although I hinted that I did have a blog, I never...

    Love your homosexual neighbors!

Yes, we must love everyone the same way, because God did create us in the same image as himself. I can see what you mean.

Should children be told that homosexuality exists?

Well, taken from experience, if you don't bother telling the children what homosexuality is, then they are going to find out anyway. Can you honestly say that you know a parent( excluding home-schooling) that follows their child to and from school and watches over every little thing they either...
