    My ExDeo Challenge

Hahahaha, and he posts another one. This is what I mean by dadaism. It's framed like philosophical puzzle but it asks a scientific question. Does it even have a logical answer? Can it have a logical answer framed the way it is? Nevertheless, he'll get a ton of responses. None of which will be...

    Scientific dadaism?

No. I'm suggesting that your writings can be interpreted as post modernist performance art. No. There is nothing wrong with that. I like post-modernist performance art.

    Scientific dadaism?

So, I know I kind of lost interest in posting here but a thought occurred to me concerning some of the more... well known creationists on this site. Only them specifically, I think you know who I mean. I'm in no way placing their ideas in the same league as mainstream creationists. My thought...

    Why aren't the pro-lifers...

Isn't Pro-Life kind of just a naked appeal to emotion to assure the republicans that their base will always vote for them no matter what? I'm pretty sure that's what it has always been.

    Cross Dressing

Don't get a Ultilikilt. They look silly. Wear a Roman Tunica. The Romans actually thought that pants looked effeminate for awhile after contact with Northern barbarians alerted them to the existence of such an article of clothing.

I know we shouldn't really enjoy this but...

...well not to mention all the sex comedy. I doubt Christians from my mother's church would find it at all "edifying"

I know we shouldn't really enjoy this but...

A Creationist who reads SMBC? ...Odd.

If we had fossils of every individual specimen...

Ah, right... I knew that... But even then they have to accept that even to understand artificial selection, which is basically the same thing.

If we had fossils of every individual specimen...

Well, as I understand it there were several theories of evolution before Darwin but Natural Selection is the mechanism that makes it Darwinian in the first place, right? This being the case, many creationist organizations already accept Darwinism.

    My Daisy Chain Challenge

So how exactly was this a "challenge"? It didn't actually address a position held by the scientific consensus. I know it makes some kind of sense to you, AV1, but when you argue about reality, you can't confine the basis of your argument to things that exist only in your subjective perspective...

If we had fossils of every individual specimen...

I am wondering if anyone sees the contradiction or if we're just not supposed to mention it. But I'll bite, what exactly is the difference between Darwinism and Natural Selection? I am very curious to know this thing.

If we had fossils of every individual specimen...

We already have a complete genetic record for every lineage that still has living descendants and they don't buy that... I guess fossils would be a bit more tactile, but still, when your worldview is built on categorically ignoring reality, I'm not sure even that would work.

    My Daisy Chain Challenge

Yeah man, When paleontologists say fossils are rare, they ain't making it up. As I said, you need very specific conditions for one to be formed, these conditions are not always present even in places where it is possible for them to occur, you need the fossil to survive geological processes...

    My Daisy Chain Challenge

In order for this to be possible, wouldn't geology and meteorology need to function radically different than they are observed to be on this planet? Since the occurrence of abiogenesis, the forces of plate tectonics and erosion have remade the surface of the Earth countless times. Presumably...

    The Creepy-Crawly Kind

I saw an AiG "documentary" about it. Apparently some small boats from the ancient middle east had a fin like that so they decided the ark must have had it as some kind of stabilizer to keep it from getting tossed around too much in the flood. Of course this is not very biblical, I would think...

    Fat Shaming

Fact of the matter is that it's simply too easy to become fat in today's world. Our food is too rich, too overprocessed. being healthy now takes a considerable amount of restraint.

    The Creepy-Crawly Kind

The difference is obvious? I do not recall that ever being the case.

    The Creepy-Crawly Kind

Nice to see AV1 is still as inane as ever. It'd be interesting to see how many Creationists actually agree with his ideas (Providing they understand them, I kind of do but I have to be in a bad place sanity-wise)

Should the age of consent be set at 21 to help reduce the world population?

Isn't the question asked in the poll different from the question asked by the title of the thread? Isn't that kind of majorly dishonest?

Why is coming from "the dust of the ground" good but from "primordial soup" bad?

I think the word YOM in the context of Genesis means a literal 24 hour span of time, even if it does mean a vast span of time, the order of creation doesn't match Geology or Cosmology. And that's what you would expect from something compiled by a Bronze Age scribe from an oral tradition, trying...
