Jesus has fulfilled the Law and replaced it with these two

No. I already posted that's NOT what I'm suggesting. Paul specifically addressed that as well. Remember? Romans 6. Besides.....how is that following the new covenant instruction to "love God and love others" if we were to do that? We'd certainly reap what we sow by not having meaningful...

Jesus has fulfilled the Law and replaced it with these two

Because humans aren't perfect (and not everyone is "attached to the root" and "dead to self" all the time . Jesus came into a "messy world" and chose imperfect disciples. He brings peace to chaos. THAT is the point of the New Testament.

Jesus has fulfilled the Law and replaced it with these two

I'm sorry, but I think you've missed the moral of the story. That's the point of the Cross - Jesus defeated sin/death that God warned Adam & Eve about. Recall the term "New Adam"? >><So you see, just as death came into the world through a man, now the resurrection from the dead has begun...

Jesus has fulfilled the Law and replaced it with these two

Okay. Thank you. Now maybe we can dive in to that (or perhaps a new thread needs to be started?). There's a big difference between Jesus **defeating death/sin** and Jesus eradicating sin/death. Obviously people die......and Adam and Eve didn't even die when they ate of the tree that they were...

So sad, that he felt the need to even say it.

Did me mention how you felt it odd that he even said that?

Jesus has fulfilled the Law and replaced it with these two

What did I write in my post that caused you to think I meant that we live in a "sinless world "? Does the new testament not say we are free from the bondage/slavery of sin? What does the Cross mean to you?

Jesus has fulfilled the Law and replaced it with these two

I believe you've missed my point. I was referring to your statement that "sin is of the devil" (or something of that nature). We can't place the blame on something external especially since Jesus defeated sin and even death ("the last enemy"). But I think that's another topic for another...

Jesus has fulfilled the Law and replaced it with these two

But didn't Jesus's death on the Cross defeat sin/death? Isn't that the point (summarized)? Aren't we ALL (because Jesus didn't die only for a specific group or specific sin(s), but for the "sin of the world'.....right?) freed from the bondage (slavery)of sin? I slipped in to mention this...

    Six Covenants Fulfilled in Jesus

I just came across this article about the 6 covenants Jesus fulfilled. 6 Covenants Fulfilled in Christ It goes along well with the Bible Project short video on covenants. I wish just these two short teachings were mainstream. It would resolve so much of the confusion about eschatology.

Daniel's 70 Weeks Correctly Explained At Last

That's quite a presumption. Why should he address Zechariah 14? The accusation was about him not believing Jesus is "coming back". He answered that. It seems that controlling his response to say something else is getting in the way of hearing/understanding what he said. Simplify things. Set...

Daniel's 70 Weeks Correctly Explained At Last

It becomes that when separated out from its full context of "the rest of the story" - and dismissing the cultural apocalyptic style it's a part of.

Daniel's 70 Weeks Correctly Explained At Last

I realize that's the same video I shared earlier. He comments on the accusation that he doesn't belive Jesus is "coming back". .....and since you posted this, I believed it was worthy of being shared again: Adding in specific passages for him to address is based on personal expectations...

Daniel's 70 Weeks Correctly Explained At Last

And that's why I quoted this from his page: >>> It means taking seriously the whole biblical picture, instead of highlighting, and misinterpreting, one part of it. The problem has been, in [43] the last two centuries in particular, that certain texts have been read from within the worldview of...

Daniel's 70 Weeks Correctly Explained At Last

Being the former Anglican bishop - a Trinitarian denomination.....I doubt Wright meant what you interpreted. There was more to the complete thought and point he was making. Instead....Wright said: >>>>The parables about a returning king or master (for example, Luke 19:11-27) were originally...

Daniel's 70 Weeks Correctly Explained At Last

It's apocalyptic symbolism (and I agree). Here's an article about the overall topic. QUOTE from article: >>>>Does this mean abandoning belief in the “second coming”? Certainly not. It means taking seriously the whole biblical picture, instead of highlighting, and misinterpreting, one part of...

Daniel's 70 Weeks Correctly Explained At Last

If you're willing to spend about an hour - this video will probably inform you of most of his pertinent beliefs related to the New Testament/New Covenant and what that meant - how Jesus fulfilled Messianic hopes and prophecies. If you'd like to ask him yourself and you use Facebook....there's...
