Only because tradition is orally handed down, so we don't know if it is fully accurate through all this time. We see glimpses of it written down through the earlier ECFs becoming more apparent with the later ones. None of which is inspired by God. There is a problem with tradition, not only...

I think we just make things more complicated than they need to be. We should let the Holy Spirit guide us into truth, in how we should be as Christians and what we need to know As long as Jesus is both Savior and Lord Then things get simple, Love Obedience Forgiveness A selfless love for God...

Yes the Holy Spirit is our teacher. But why are we protestants such a ball of confusion? I look around CF and see the most whacked out ideas from people claiming to be Christian. Maybe the claiming part is the problem. But the problem also is that we that are Christians aren't in agreement with...

I think most of the responses will be typical asking a question is the CC imploding. Catholic will say no Protestants will say yes Orthodox will say, they are just on their way of reuniting with them. Perhaps you should also most this in the liberal Catholic forum for their response.

I don't know about murder, but I have seen alot of Christians do some horrid things. And not ones that merely call themselves as such but people that are really Christians. We all sin, sometimes people are so back slidden that they do pretty bad stuff.

I know why the protestant canon has less books than the Catholic canon, but why does the Orthodox canon have more than the Catholic canon? About when was it informally or formally accepted? I am very interested in this and hope someone can help. Thanks :)
