Again, nobody is talking about respecting women for having abortions. We are talking about respecting women for being fellow human beings with the right to make their own decisions in life. This is not something that has to be earned, at least not IMO.

Nobody is honoring women for having abortions. I'm talking about respect and honor for women as human beings (which is what I thought Kevin was talking about). Is that supposed to be conditional? If not, how do you determine which women are worthy of this basic human dignity and which aren't?

It's a shame, though, that you don't honor or respect them enough to let them make their own decisions concerning their bodies. That really sort of implies that you respect zygotes more than you do grown women.

Are you sure about this "safely birthed" part? When I think of the word "safe," "childbirth" isn't always the first thing that comes to mind. We're talking about a pretty physically traumatizing event for a woman's body here. A LOT can go wrong.
