    Last Comic Standing! Yay!

I was disappointed they only picked 3 comics from Montreal and 3 from San Antonio...I thought the comics from those cities were far more funny than the NYC comics...there were several really good ones that go left out.

    Last Comic Standing! Yay!

thanks for reminding me...I would've completely forgotten about it. my brother actually tried out for the show last year...he had done some standup in college. He said he got a couple chuckles out of one of the judges...but in general they thought he needed more experience.

    Katrina pics

Well not to rain on anyone's parade, but those pictures are not from Katrina. For some reason there is an e-mail circulating with those pictures saying they are from Katrina, but they are actually just run of the mill storm pictures from the Midwest...

    Scrubs??

I heard the other day scrubs was renewed for 18 episodes next season. My wife and I love the show as well! The only thing we disagree on is JDs new love intereste...forget her name...the pregnant one. I don't really like her character, kind of bland.

    Spouses sharing an email address

my wife and I share an e-mail address...but then we also have seperate ones as well (although we know each other's passwords to those). I had mine prior to meeting her...kept it because I was in grad school and didn't want all that grad school related stuff cluttering up our mutual account.

Hurricane Victims in Desperate Need of Prayers

well there were initially 10,000 in the superdome...but that is where they have been sending everyone who has been rescued from rooftops and other places. I've heard estimates of anywhere between 30,000-60,000 now in the superdome...but knowing how these figures sometimes get exaggerated, it...

Hurricane Victims in Desperate Need of Prayers

I am disappointed with the lack of discussion on this board regarding the situation along the Gulf Coast of the US. Hurricane Katrina may wind up being one of the most deadly hurricanes in US history and the damage may very well be the worst in US history. Broken levees in New Orleans, which...

    donnie darko anyone?

The directors cut definitely has a different feel to it. I feel like it does a better job of just starting off slowly (although almost to the point where the first 20-30 minutes are downright boring) but then gradually picking up momentum as the end of the world draws near. Plus, the change in...

    A couple lightning pictures

Had the best lightning display I've ever seen the other night. My wife and I were walking out from Target around 8:30pm and a distant cumulus cloud with frequent lightning was visible. Some slow moving storms set up just to the north and gradually drifted south towards us giving us an extended...

    Sexuality in Christian films

I think the short answer is yes, it could cause someone to stumble (at least the bikini scene, I don't see an issue with the other two you mentioned). A lot of men who are striving to overcome inappropriate contentography addictions cut out every possible source of sensual imagery within their control...

    Anyone Good with HTML/CSS?

I'm a beginner with all this HTML/CSS stuff, but am trying to make a real basic webpage for when our baby comes. http://www4.ncsu.edu/~mpborkow/test.html So basically I'm trying to use DIV tags to divide up the page. I want the "Main text will go here" box to be aligned at the top of the...

Board Games not just kiddy stuff

Yeah Acquire is great...hard to find though. My parents have a really old version from the late 70's (I'm estimating). I have a newer, lower quality version, although I do know the latest version (which is no longer in production) was pretty decent quality. But yeah, it's a tile board, and...

How much should I sell my pictures for?

Well yeah...it's just my opinion. I would agree on a $10 max. But like I said, it really matters what your intentions. If you're trying to generate some profit, I would think you'd want to go closer to $10. If your sole purpose is ministry, then your prices would probably be good. So I...

    30 Days

Has anyone caught this show on FX? It's on Wednesdays at 10pm. It's a show by Morgan Spurlock...the guy who did Super Size Me. Basically it's a documentary style show where he sees what can be discovered about different topics in 30 days. For instance, in one episode they try to live in...

How much should I sell my pictures for?

If you are going for affordability and not looking to turn out a large profit...just hoping to cover expenses...then I'd say those sound like great prices! If I could get a nice scenic 8x10 picture with frame for only $5 at an arts festival, I'd be all about it! Depending on the picture...

    favorite season

I voted for fall...although in all honesty...with each season I have a different answer to this question. They all have their pros and cons. The only one I could probably say with certainty is NOT my favorite is spring. Yeah if it's a beautiful sunny warm spring day with the trees budding and...

Board Games not just kiddy stuff

Favorite board games in no particular order: Boggle Scrabble Scattegories Apples to Apples (more of a party game) Acquire (I'd be interested to know if anyone else has ever heard of it) -Matt
