    Prog Fans Unite!

Dream Theater's new album is quite good. A few missteps here and there...but this is probably their best work since 2001's Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence.

    Last Show You Attended

Umm...I think it was Opeth last October.

Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan...

I think I got up to the fifth or sixth book and had to quit...it just wasn't going anywhere.

    Prog Fans Unite!

Yeah, In Absentia is a good place to start with Porcupine Tree. The frontman is Steven Wilson and he's one of the most prolific and hardworking musicians in the world right now. Anyways, my favorite band in the world is Dream Theater. I've seen them live on three occasions, have all their...

Films you viewed more than once

I own and have viewed all 22 James Bond films many many many times.

    Dragged to Hell

Saw it and loved it. The opening scene, and especially the ending scene were quite disturbing; which is a good thing because it's a horror movie. The rest of the movie is pure manic Raimi at his finest.

Top 10, 25, 50 rock albums you never tire of listening to

Nice to see some prog fans in here (and an Arrested Development fan judging by Fed's avatar)! My top ten: 1. Dream Theater - Images and Words 2. Opeth - Blackwater Park 3. Between the Buried and Me - Colors 4. Porcupine Tree - Lightbulb Sun 5. Metallica - Master of Puppets 6. Rush - Moving...

    Quantum of Solace

I know I'm coming very late to the party here...but I've heard two people speak quite negatively about On Her Majesty's Secret Service and I'm amazed. While Lazenby wasn't the strongest actor, OHMSS contains some of the strongest cinematography, storytelling, and certainly one of the most...

    Dragged to Hell

As a longtime Evil Dead fan I'm excited to see Sam Raimi return to the horror genre. And early reviews are looking very positive so I'm definitely starting to get excited for this one.

    Presidential debate #2

Obama stayed on topic nicely and outlined things very well. McCain tended to be very nebulous and used a lot of feel-good slogans and such. Overall I think Obama won this one hands down.

Palin out debates Joe and crushes the MSM... again!

What style? A cutesy "gee shucks" attitude about everything?

Palin out debates Joe and crushes the MSM... again!

"Smooth" is one word I would never use to describe Palin.

New Metallica - "The Day That Never Comes"

I like it except for Lars awful drumming. The snare sound is way too loud, which is a problem because he overuses it.

So what's everyone's take on Obama?

To me, that is nothing new. Let me point you in the direction of the Treaty of Tripoli, which was unaminously approved in 1797. This section in particular: Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion's it has in itself no...

Hundreds of same-sex couples wed across California

Tolerance = I may not agree with what you do...but I will fight for your right to do it. From a purely personal and faith based perspective I have a moral disagreement with homosexuality. But I'm not about to impose my own morals upon two other people.

    Wipeout

It would be a lot more enjoyable without the two idiot announcers. It's like they're trying to mimic MXC but failing miserably.

    Favorite band.

Opeth (Progressive metal with Death Metal, Prog Rock, and Folk influences-completely unique and incredible): Dream Theater (Progressive Metal): Porcupine Tree (Progressive Rock, earlier stuff was more psychedellic and experimental, newer stuff is more progressive rock with various other...

The Lake of Fire: Mercy or Not?

My hope is that God has something planned for the damned that He hasn't yet revealed to us. Perhaps mercy, perhaps annihilation. Whatever happens, it will be all to the glory of Him.
