    Why 'just a theory'?

Yes, indeed. But there are some things that aren't explainable within scientific borders. Like the parting of the Red Sea. It's just so unscientific, it's ... it's ... well ... it must be a miracle. But unfortunately, miracles are lumped in as "figments of the imagination" and left at that...

    Why 'just a theory'?

I look at it like "it's just a theory" is a comeback that science deserves. Not as a means of denigration. If, for example, I was told the Rapture cannot occur because it would violate gravity, then I would eventually -- (keyword: eventually) -- end up dismissing gravity as either "science can...

    Why 'just a theory'?

No. But if it is science based, then it should be shown wrong first. And if it can't be shown wrong because it isn't science based -- that is, a miracle -- then it should be notated as such. Instead of notating it as such though, we Christians are given the third degree about it. It's not...

    Why 'just a theory'?

That's because it's watered down by the assumption that "everything is a theory." Theory of evolution, of gravity, of relativity, atomic theory, etc and so on. So when the Bible speaks a Truth, that Truth is weighed against prevailing theory and ... lo and behold ... found wanting. That is true.

    Why 'just a theory'?

Theories are meant to be eventually pwned. I believe science considers that a "strength."

    Why 'just a theory'?

I'd say it's because evolution gets its claws deeper into the Bible than any other theory. So we "fight back" by showing evolution for what it is: just a theory.

Taking Questions on Embedded Age Creation

    1. You said I was pretending. 2. You changed your query from "real age" to "passed age." 3. You said you don't even believe in God in the first place. And you want me to explain my "pretend pet theory" to your satisfaction? You want me to believe that you are really seriously wanting to...

It does today. But not during the Creation Week, when things came into existence suddenly and fully mature.

Taking Questions on Embedded Age Creation

Right -- until someone would ask how Adam was able to get married and have children, if he was just created that day. Then that "nonsense" you called it would suddenly become a salient point against Genesis 1, wouldn't it? After all, without that "science can take a hike / embedded age...

No argument there. Age was inserted into everything from Adam to the farthest star.
