Does this mean I cannot be reconciled with God if I have sinned purposefully?

Hi faceofbear. You are not on your own, stats show 65% of Christian young men have intentionally viewed inappropriate content in the previous 12 months and (from memory I think 30% have an addiction to it. Can I suggest a website that you might like to check out? Visit WWW.THEFIGHT.COM.AU where you will...

The 'Evil Elder' has finally been removed from our church...after 11 months of pain.

Thought and prayed about that alot but my wife and I wanted it dealt with within the church, and then the Baptist Union, which took way too long as it was but we did not want it to drag even longer through the courts. The Baptist Union wanted him gone right away but because this guy was mates...

The 'Evil Elder' has finally been removed from our church...after 11 months of pain.

Finally my wife and I feel free and that a cloud has lifted from over us. Praise God the man who sexually assaulted and abused my wife has been told to leave our church. Now the healing can begin without having to see him every week touching other women and girls in the place. We found out...

    What Bible do you use?

I mainly use the NLT 2 for devotionals and general reading but for in depth study I use the NASB. I like the NLT for its readability and its accuracy. The NASB is a great literal translation for studies.

What kind of Baptist are you?

The Baptist church I currently go to is conservative. I would also consider myself the same - conservative. The pastor has Calvinistic beliefs but they do not come through the preaching very often, mainly through talking to him. I myself find there are many verses in the Bible that support both...

A question for the N.T. Greek students or teachers.....

I ended up purchasing a Greek Interlinear with the NASB and NIV as well. It is the one by Mounce & Mounce. I am very happy with it. They use the NA/UBS Greek text. Thanks all for your advice!

Should women cover their head during prayer?

I voted no. I do not believe women have to wear a head covering when praying. In fact in all the Baptist churches and other denominations I have visited I have never seen any women cover their head for praying. I believe it is a personal choice for the woman concerned, ie, if you want to, that's...

A question for the N.T. Greek students or teachers.....

I was wondering what the best Greek-English Interlinear would be to purchase? Or are there a few worth considering? ;) I have already on my bookshelf, The Englishman's Greek New Testament, using the Greek text of Stephens 1550, kjv and a literal translation, which I found in our church...

Church on a Sunday- Is it Biblical?

This is a genuine question. 'Is going to church on a Sunday a Scriptural command or a tradition?' I know the resurrection of Jesus was on a Sunday morning but where in the Bible does it say that Christians must go to church on a given day. What are your thoughts? :)

The teachings of Jesus-nice bedtime stories and that's about it

I know how you feel in a way. My wife and I have just experienced the horrible ordeal of a trusted friend and elder in our church betray us by trying to get it on with my wife. You can read all about that in the Baptist section in 'Feeling like giving up'. I know many Christians who make the...

    Sex offenders at church

Zman!, We all have to make choices everyday. We all get tempted to sin. It is whether we choose to sin or to reject the temptation that determines our future outcomes. Yes! God forgives the sinner, if they are truly repentent but sometimes sins have a way of having long lasting consequences...

    Sex offenders at church

Easy answer......NO, NO WAY , NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!! There would be no circumstance that I would put my children under the care of a repented child molester. It would be a temptation to the person and they might just sin. They might not, but why take a chance.:preach:
