The flood makes no sense in terms of the bible (and fundie creationism) unless it was global. How can creationists that claim the grand canyon was carved out by the flood ignore the fact that about 5000 km south in this desert, no water has been there for at least 120 000 years.

I didn't think there was. I guess the whole creationism thing is not about evidence at all, it's just a belief, backed up by nothing in reality.
