There have been studies which basically show that disability compensation makes it much less likely that you'll get better. Getting money is about the worst thing someone could do for your health. Of course, the obvious problem is that taking more effective steps to help people to get jobs...

I'm afraid you're going to have to explain that. Why is it immoral to live unhealthily, forcing others to pay for your healthcare, but not to live riskily, forcing others to pay for your police protection? Are you trying to say that it is inherently immoral to smoke, for example? Really...

Why should we have a police force? If you own nice stuff, or walk around in sexy clothes, it's your own fault if you're burgled or raped. If you can pay for personal security, then you can be safe. If you can't, well... These are the things which make society, well, society. We can't...

As a policy, it's not a great idea— which accounts for the evolutionary tendency for siblings (when raised in proximity) to have a greatly reduced sexual attraction. But on the rare occasion that it crops up, it's probably relatively harmless.
