The Rock 'N' Roll Worship Circus Becomes . . . The Listening

Yeah, I've met some of them, and can say that they have huge hearts - they're the real deal. Their shows are worship experiences wrapped up in a jam session.

Jer Camp - Live & Unplugged

I also have recently viewed it a couple times, and yeah, I thoroughly enjoy it. I saw him in concert a year or so ago, and was moved by his testimony. he seems to be a good man.

    Band reccommendations....

check out Day of Fire, Kainos, and Daniel's Window - and I think everyone should check out the Rock 'n' Roll Worship Circus. And Audio Adrenaline's Some Kind of Zombie.

Is anyone else disgusted at a lot of "Christian" music today!

Can I try? Bruce Lee didn't die of a mysterious ailment - he died of fear because Chuck Norris reached manhood.

See my thread on teh new Worship Circus CD. They aren't mimicing anybody, and I am very impressed.

Then the issue should be with the guy who wrote the check.

Maybe you are, we are not. A celebration like the Creation festival is no place for artists to be dogging each other over their abilities. If you are being led by the Lord to go make noise in front of people, then you should do so. And if you see someone doing their best for Him with what...

Is anyone else disgusted at a lot of "Christian" music today!

Yes, exactly that. We are to use whatever gifts we have. They may not have reached you, but they reached someone. And bad-mouthing them and "brutalizing" them is not the Christian way to handle the situation.

Of all the people you mention, it would seem that only AA was doing what God asked of them . . .

I wasn't saved when I was 13, so I'll just keep diggin' AA now. I love a lot of their stuff. But that's the whole key to this (never-ending) thread - it's all perception.

Where'd this come from? I'm hoping it's tongue in cheek . . . or did you hear the backward masking and subliminals at the live show?

The Rock 'N' Roll Worship Circus Becomes . . . The Listening

Has anyone else heard this CD yet? It won't be in stores until next year, but is available through pre-order. It's a great disc. It's a definite departure from their past work; you can still hear their roots in there, but they have certainly evolved into something new. After listening to it...

    shane and shane

I think they have huge talent, I really do like them - but I can only listen in small doses. If I listen too much, it just all starts sounding the same. I could probably watch em play all day though. They can really play.

Rock 'n' Roll Worship Circus = The Listening

The band has undergone some changes. Zurn (drums) has retired, and Solo bowed out to raise his family. The E, who replaced Solo for quite a while now, now plays drums, and Blur has stepped aside for a new keyboard player who I'm not familiar with except for the EP, which is very promising...

Rock 'n' Roll Worship Circus = The Listening

The Rock 'n' Roll Worship Circus is coming out with a new CD, and after that they will be changing their name to "The Listening". I love this band! Sometimes they bop along like early Beatles or the Monkees, and other times they play with the depth of Pink Floyd or King Crimson - but they...

Until My Heart Caves In--Audio Adrenaline

I just discovered these guys a few months back. My wife had a couple CDs laying around that she never listened to, and one day I decided to hear em - and have been hooked since. I agree with foo-oswald, "Zombie" is a great disc, and pushed more boundaries than the other stuff I have heard -...

    Switchfoot - Nothing Is Sound

I had pre-ordered the CD, and when I picked it up I decided to grab the new Audio Adrenaline as well. Since the Switchfoot has such heavy duty protection on it, I couldn't play it in my car or at work (my car's cd player just spit it out, and my work computer doesn't support a media player...

Boo for Switchfoot! What's up with the new CD?

Thank you very much. One more note - I accepted it and installed it, and it said you can make three copies max - I can't figure out how to make any. (I'm not a pirate, I'm just a guy with a wife and son who have no regard for proper care of a disc, so I need backups) So, I had to insert the...

    Seventh Day Slumber

They are one of my favorites - great band with a great testimony. "Picking Up The Pieces" is a great CD all the way through. Wunnerful, wunnerful stuff.

    My latest acquisitions

(Did I spell that correctly? ) Anyhoo . . . I picked up the new Disciple and Todd Agnew Cds last week. I demo'd the previous Disciple discs, and the vocals were a bit too out of control for my current tastes. On teh new CD, they are much better for my ear, and it helps pull the...
