My whole family is Mormon. I love Mormon people. I do not, however, love the LDS church and its ability to hurt people, its truth claims, and the way it hides its history from member of the LDS church.

It's something you pick up in the Missionary Training Center. Missionaries, in my opinion, are very manipulative. Joseph Smith is held in very highly in the LDS church. Sometimes you can go to church for three hours and hear more praise about JS than for Jesus. It's quite disturbing.

Actually, it is. The revelation was received during 1843 around the time Joseph introduced the endowment. The both involve handshakes as a way to identify a true messenger of God. So you can see they are similar.
