Nah V.C., no mountains, for me it's just a change of pace/priorities.... You take care and continue confronting the error disguised as truth when it rears itself here.... Peace

What people believe does not change the truth...

I think it is ironic that the title of this thread is "What people believe does not change the truth...." I think it is ironic because what k4c is submitting as truth is not truth but what he believes... The truth about the law and compliance is NOT what k4c "believes."

Agreed Sophia, I was discussing this weekend that very issue i.e. picking and choosing what part of the Levitical code will be followed or ignored... it is quite inconsistent and even harder to explain..

    Choices....

Based on your comments perhaps our ideas about God and protection as well as "limited" will need to be redefined...

    Infallibility of Scripture?

Welcome and glad you chose to hang out with us.... you will find varied answers to your question so I'll give mine... To me the bible is the written word of inspired men as they understood God at that time..... It is my belief that God did not write the bible, nor did he dictate it, so its not...

The ministry of the Law is death...

I find it interesting that you refused to follow Paul's logic to the end in Galatians.... the crucial point you chose to leave out: Galatians 3:21 Does the Law disagree with God's promises? No, it doesn't! If any law could give life to us, we could become acceptable to God by obeying that law...

flawed premise, flawed conclusion.... let me be prophetic.... you will not be persecuted now nor in the future for observing the 7th day sabbath....

    Choices....

So then, a person's free will can negate God's protection? Isn't that a possible conclusion? A person chooses to murder, exploit, etc, another person regardless of that person's prayer to be protected from those things... You say we cannot blame God for the decisions we make, let me ask...

    Borrowing inspiration?

Kudos to my friend Kevin for mentioning this name..... read on.... The Reverend Sylvester Graham (July 5, 1794 – September 11, 1851) was an American dietary reformer. He was born in Suffield, Connecticut, and was ordained in 1826 as a Presbyterian minister. He entered Amherst College in 1823...

    Choices....

Do humans have free will and can they really make decisions that control their own destiny? What part does The Creator play in this process? Does everything that happen mean those things are within The Creator's will? Even the horrific things? Thoughts?

    Done with christianity...... interesting blog...

Are you now suggesting that God cannot "woo" humans? Or that only the Holy Spirit woos? In either case it would still cause problems for your initial premise...

    Glad they left....

Don't need to.... your responses are a clear indication of what you did or didn't read... it is not an assumption on my part that I know something you don't.... I probably know quite a few things that you don't, but that's neither here nor there....

    Done with christianity...... interesting blog...

If the father is the one doing the seeking and the reconciling, then it renders that "truth" meaningless... given that God seeks and saves without anyone's permission, it is quite possible that there are those who know God and have no idea who Jesus is.... so then, just because someone said...

If that is the conclusion you've come to, then you've superficially read the article... is your usual custom to answer your own questions?

    Glad they left....

well I know k4c didn't read the article, so I was making sure that you had read the article, though now I am almost certain you didn't read the article either.... so let's recap, a comment by a poster about an article he didn't read followed by you (MVA) co-signing on the comment by a poster who...
