As the mother of a son with ears that are a bit sticky-outtie, that hurts my heart. I live in dread of the first time someone mocks him for his ears.

Growing up we called them poonkers, now my hubby and I say furp.

SHHHHHHHH! He's very sensitive about them.

I can eat supper with Tessa on my lap and she isn't interested in my food at all.

My daughter still wants nothing to do with solid food of any kind. Not baby food, not food from my plate, nothing. Whenever I try to feed her anything she gives me this hilarious worried expression.

I'm nursing my Tessa, she's 7 1/2 months old. No solids, yet, for her, not interested at all. She has 2 teeth and does enjoy biting and scraping with them.:sigh: I nursed my older son for 9 months and my younger son wasn't able to nurse, but I pumped for him for 3 months.

My husband used to be my best friend. I was never his.

I would say he still needs formula. Whole milk doesn't have all the nutrients in it that formula does.

I formula fed my second son and didn't face any judgment for it IRL, but I sure did on-line. The IQ thing was thrown in my face several times, especially due to my little guys special needs.

Tessa is like that. She wants to be held all the time, but she never relaxes in your arms. She's nor cuddly at all. And strangely enough, she's been sick with the croup and now a bad cold and she is so much more pleasant to be around. Phillip's ST said this week that she's never seen Tessa...
