Parenthood. I watched 1 and 2. First episode of season 3 all the adults were still insecure whiners (except Craig T. Nelson's character) and the kids were all still brats. Haven't watched it since. Didn't help that Minka Kelly left either.

One thing I don't understand is when they were at the CDC in season one they didn't grab some of those M2 50 cal machine guns that were scattered around and mount them on the top of their RV.

Detroit 187, Lie to Me and Human Target for recent shows. Back in th early 90s there was a show called Homefront that dealt with guys returning from WWII that was very good. Naturally it didn't last long.

Great musician and songwriter--gone too soon. But saw him in concert once and it was a total downer. He beat people up instead of lift people up.

OK, I've read all of Spenser, the Prey series, Alex Cross, John Connelly, Lee Child, and Robert Crais and I'm looking for some new, good series of books featuring private detectives, off the reservation cops/detectives, etc. Does anyone have and suggestions?

Is anyone aware of a series of mystery/thriller/crime novels in which all the titles included a reference to a different style of barbed wire? It seems as if I've seen it in the distant past but I may be off base. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I agree, although I'll spell it correctly. A Separate Peace is awful. Also, anything by Papa Hemingway pretty much rots.
