NASA's budget is ~$15 billion. If you cut them off for ten years that's ~$150 billion. The deficit adds more than that to the debt in one year.

It's something. Liquid fuels are very useful for transportation. I am going to adapt to living while using less energy. What energy I do use will have to come more and more from renewable sources. It's a simple, realistic solution.
