Theistic Evolution-- how is it compatible with the Bible?

For those who buy Theistic Evolution-- how would you explain how TE and the Bible are compatible to a creationist?

Fact or fiction- Most Christians accept theistic evolution..?

I know in the United States there is a movement, fundamentalism, which denies evolution in favor of a more dogmatic creationism. Catholics, on the other hand, (I believe) accept "theistic evolution." In fact, it seems most Christians outside the US accept evolution-- I don't believe European...

Can I ask this? (belief and education)

I hope I don't get banned for asking this question. Without making assumptions. Can we draw any conclusions about the level of education a person has and their likelihood of being a believer vs a non-believer? I talk to people at my university all the time. It seems that the further they...

    who's got abs.

Visible abs is probably 95% due to having low body fat, and 5% due to training. You can't spot reduce bodyfat-- 1000's of sit-ups are useless. Do cardio instead. Eat less. end of story

    who's got abs.

I agree with this. I"m a fan of eating an apple before a meal-- the fiber helps you feel fuller, eat less

    who's got abs.

No.. Actually it is the other way around.. Not necessarily eating more healthy, but eating less. 2000 calories is 2000 calories, no matter what you eat..

Why does the Bible endorse slavery?

If you are trying to say the Bible is the 100% divine, 100% infallible word of god, it is a futile effort that requires narrow thinking to maintain; that only sees the good and none of the evil You cannot criticize me for pointing out the evil and ignoring the good in the Bible when you...

Why does the Bible endorse slavery?

Killing and stealing are wrong actions that exist. Yet, the Bible says it's wrong to kill and steal. Why can't the Bible say the same about slavery? For instance, instead of saying EX 21.7-8 "when a man sells his daughter as a slave..." why not say "Selling your daughter as a slave is...

Why does the Bible endorse slavery?

Do you really believe God gets jealous?

Why does the Bible endorse slavery?

Wouldn't you expect more out of a book of God? Wouldn't you expect a book of God to condemn slavery? You say: "The slavery depicted in the Bible isn't always evil and it's not always inhumane." (emphasis added) Again wouldn't you expect a bood of God to, instead of "not always being evil...

    has anyone used this machine

It depends on how you define "better." IMO, the stairmaster has a greater range of motion compared to the elliptical, and is probably better for training the endurance muscle fibers in your quads. Calorie-expending wise, I'm not sure if the 'no-arm' elliptical burns the same or less cals/hr...

    has anyone used this machine

2hrs on the stairmaster is impressive, I must say.. A question: Are your feet the only part of your body touching the machine? Also, many people don't perform the eliptical correctly.... Ideally, your head should not move (ie bob up and down with the motion of your legs).
