I'm with you, Tiny. Problem is he has many followers, if that's the right word, who seem to believe every word he says. As b. suggested, we need moderate Christian voices out there to counter Robertson and others of his ilk.

Many Christians think their beliefs and values must be the beliefs and values of Jesus. Christians even claim Jesus holds beliefs about certain things that weren't even around when he was alive. Why don't we just hear Jesus, as he was, whether we like it or not?

Jesus political views cannot be judged in modern day Western categories. The politics of his day, and of his country, are very different from the political systems we have in place today in the Western world.
