Surfing CF - Harmful for new Christians?

No offense but I think one of the most dangerous attitude Christians can adopt is that of separating themselves from the world completely in order to stay "safe". As if we are in danger with Christ as our shield and protector! IMO if it was really that dangerous for us to be around...

God's style change from OT to NT?

Actually the most horrible stories about God's wrath are found in the New Testament. In the OT He withholds his wrath and in the NT he unleashes it on the whole earth. So I'm not sure how one can come to the conclusion that the OT contains a god of wrath and the NT a god of mercy. Grace...

Video games make you kill people?????

I agree this is idiotic. Why in the world are you going to blame the makers of a "M" rated video game for the actions of two underage teenagers! How in the world could a video game cause two undersupervised children to obtain guns & ammo and kill someone. Yes the game is violent but it is not...

    Is CCM a joke?

Personally I like some CCM, but I can only take so much of it. There is a radio station in my area that plays it 24/7. I listen to them at times, but often have to switch the station because the music sounds all the same. There are a few groups/bands that are doing original stuff, but a lot...

hard to have un-saved friends? is for me...

I don't think the original greek would translate into acquaintance. I could see how it would make things easier for people if it did though. Just the fact that Jesus ate with tax collectors is a sign that they were much more then mere acquaintances. Agreeing with the Pharisees is not...

    God Revealing His Will

Although I agree with the statement that the Bible contains God's will, it is not always the primary way in which God reveals it to me. Usually it begins with a nagging thought in my head, one that doesn't go away and pops up at the most inopportune times. Then through prayer it continues to...

    Music in the Church

Man it is attitude's like this that make the church completely irrelevant to anyone geniunely seeking the Lord. Way too legalistic for me. The Bible is not a set of rules to live by it is a collection of stories that help us to shape our character so we can be Christlike. If you truly...

How Long Have you Been Single?

I've been single pretty much my whole life. I did have a brief relationship about about 5 years ago. I keep hoping that it won't be the last but things don't look too hot right now, LOL!

    Problem with my resolution!

Installing a second hard drive is not too difficult. Just make sure you adjust the jumpers on the back of the drive first. Your main drive(c:\) needs to be set as master and your slave drive needs to be jumpered as a slave. After the jumpers are set you just slide them into the bay, connect a...

Baldur's Gate/NWN (Black Isle in general)

Although it doesn't say AD&D on the box, I would say it is more like that then hack&slash. There are a ton of caves, bandit hideouts, and tombs on the map that you can go into for hack and slash. Magic & Alchemy are a huge part of the game, as well as weapon enchanting. The main part of the...

hard to have un-saved friends? is for me...

I would really question someone's faith if they didn't have non-Chrisitian friends. I mean how in the world are you suppossed to spread the good news if you don't have anyone to share it with?!? On that same note, I don't think it is necessary to pin people down and ask them what they...

    Hunting: Ethics & Morality

For those of you who abhor hunting... How do you propose we control the wildlife populations if hunting is banned? Who is going to help pay to preserve the forests and wildlife, if there are no hunting/fishing licenses sold? Did you know hunters/fishermen do more to conserve wildlife &...

Did you get the lovsan/msblaster virus?

I too patched a month ago. I figured that since it was all over the news that there was a security problem with windows that somebody was bound to take advantage of it. I also view the web behind Norton Firewall & have Norton Anti-Virus actively scanning my emails/downloads for me!

Baldur's Gate/NWN (Black Isle in general)

I have totally been addicted to Morrowind lately. I can't even tell you how many hours I've been playing this game. It is worth checking out. It is a single player open-ended game. So you choose what quests you want to do and you only have one character to control. It is really fun!

    Please Help a new Christian

Hi I live in southern california, Long Beach to be exact. It is about two hours from San Diego. I have a friend that lives outside of San Diego and he goes to a pretty neat church. I can ask him where it is at and get that info to you if you're interested.

if i have a bunch of wav files, can i drag and drop them to the cd burner?

I thought you had to convert .wav files to .mp3 format in order for them to play on a regular cd player. Maybe I'm wrong.

    The Sims for PS2

I have that game and I made it all the way to the highest career(astronaunt for the military career track). I had some trouble at that point too. Basically you have to have a clean house(hire a maid), and get some cool furniture. A new TV, toilet, shower, possibly a hot tub will do the trick.
