Templer,
We have an example that Jesus told in a parable that Chrsitians go to a place that he calls Abraham's Bosom and non-Christians go to a place called torment and one one can cross between the two places. Take a look at Luke 16:19-21.
The Bible says that women were created as a helper to men. Men are over women, just as Christ is head over man. This applies to all times. So, there is a degreee of seperation between man and women, just as there is seperation between Christ and man.
No, women of God are not frauds. But, when a Christian man is present, then a women is not to teach over him and usurp authority. But, if a Christian women is trying to teach a man that is not a Christian, she is not usurping authority.
Archangel,
I think we have found something that we can agree on.
To the question about current women preachers, they do go against the authority of the New Testament. There is a direct command that women are not to teach over men, but can teach other women and children.
I just wanted to point out, which it may have already been shown, but in Matt. 28:20, Jesus tells us to " observe all things whatsoever I commanded you."
Where is the Scripture that authorizes a woman to preach in the New Testament? Were there any women preachers in the New Testament? If a woman was to preach, it would violate the teaching of Paul in 1 Timothy 2:11-14.
Also, a woman cannot be an elder or deacon because of the teaching in 1...
I'm wondering what everyone thinks the Lord's Supper is? I would also like to know what everyone thinks make up the Lord's Supper, why we take of it, and how often we are supposed to take of it? I hope that this turns out to be a good study.
No, churches aren't perfect, but the Bible is. The Bible says that there is only one church. This is the church that Jesus built, but not the Catholic church.
Where does the fact come from? I believe in God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I don't ever call them the Trinity. The Old Testament existed in the New Testament times, because the Ethiopean eunuch was reading it in Acts 8. The Catholic church may have compiled the Bible THEY...
Most churches believe the Bible primarily, but are they the church of that Jesus established. I urge you to find the church that you can actually read about in the Bible. One founded by the Lord, not by man.
The person who started this thread asked a question and I'm trying to answer the questions posed. The truth needs to be let known, not what man says, but what the Bible says.
Tell me how come there is no Catholic church in the Bible. Peter didn't establish the church, Jesus did. Did Peter die for the church? Of course not. Are we baptized into Peter? Of course not. Where is pope in the Bible? You won't find it. How come the Catholic church uses a different Bible than...
Again, I want to emphasize this. Jesus built only ONE church. He died for only ONE church. He didn't die for any denomination. If a man started the church, it's not the church that Jesus built, and is not the true church.
