so what is your take on this? it would be safe to assume then since there is no date specified... then there is a period of time missing? it wouldnt happen perhaps to be a few billion years would it be?

i believe (not entirely sure) that it comes from someone's attempt to add up all of the ages of the men in genesis.

but what one believes does not challenge a fact. the truth exists DESPITE our understanding of it or acknowledgement of its presence... did atoms suddenly appear once we were able to detect their presence? of course not... the fact that we collectively believed otherwise did not change the truth...

"God never changes" science and god aren't candidates for direct comparison. one is an idea surrounding progressing perception, and the other is a set of parameters binding change. and if you think that the perception of god never changes... why then for the division among religions? would...

science is a method, not an idea striving for omnipotence. Anyone that DOES tell you that science promises anything or deals in anything so absolute has missed the point. The 'engine' of science is not knowing...

the fact that dozens of people from all over the world discussing topics that have seen many people to their deaths in an open and free forum is what science has given you. next time that you post... try and guess whether its god, or logic, behind that Post button.

i live in the far south... its quite nice, and the heat isnt all that bad. i have never once had to get up early to shovel the heat off of my driveway, or chizel sunshine from my windshield.

but you might notice that that the previously quoted statement lacks the words 'I BELIEVE'... a statement of fact is questioned by other facts.
