Same with my church. I'm in the states, and there will be a police presence as well, as the threat is not limited to Egypt.

Orthodox Churches in the Virgin Islands?

I know of a Coptic Church in St. Thomas and St. Kitts. I know that's OO and not EO, but thought I'd add my two cents in anyway. :)

ST-Mary appearing in Egypt next to a cross!!

The apparitions of St. Mary in Egypt have historically occurred in times of trouble or during difficult times. This most recent apparition was not just one night but over several nights, and I read somewhere that she appeared again last night. Someone was asking why the videos are so poor...

    Evil

CS Lewis also has a good book called The Problem of Pain. It discusses mans struggle with the concept of suffering and evil in this world. In his book he gives a great example of how if God removed a source of pain or suffering from one person, it may indirectly cause suffering for another...

Jesus's Church - Where is it?

So, there's a book called Becoming Orthodox where a group of Evangelical Protestants set out to find a church as close to as what is described in the Bible. To find the true church that Christ established. It's a great read. Very interesting. God Bless!

Lets also add Egypt in there. The Copts (Egyptian Christians) are highly mistreated in their own nation. A nation that used to be Christian. ...to this very day they are persecuted for their beliefs.

    Wedding Restriction

This is completely normal. Weddings cost a small fortune, often $60-$90 a head. Most couples have at least one or two children, so the cost would add up so quickly, if everyone brought their children.

    Pope Shenouda's new book

"Have you seen the one I love?" is really an EXCELLENT book. I'm from the Boston church, and I know a LOT of time and effort was put in to make sure the translation was correct. I like HH's books in general, but with them always being translations, you sometimes feel like something is lost...but...

    Father Arseny

The book is so easy to read and as you said the stories make me smile or bring tears to my eyes. The strength that some have just amazes me. And not only everyday strength, but strength under such extreme circumstances. Another thing about the book is the depiction of the power of prayer...

pastor, committed adultry now pastoring again - your thoughts

My thoughts are that it is not our place to judge this man. He is human, just like you and I. Every human sins and our Lord Jesus Christ realizes that and therefore asks us to confess our sins and ask for His forgiveness.
