@sampa, I'm not sure how to reply to comments that aren't replies but here goes. I'm talking about dancing games where you earn points by accurately performing moves. Also, just dancing in front of a virtual mirror can be fun. At some point, I might like to take dance lessons in VR.

    Don't Quit December

Mountain biking is my main form of exercise. Unfortunately, it can be tough to get out there in the off season. It gets dark earlier, the trails can be covered with leaves, and this year has been particularly rainy. Wet trails are closed around here. Fortunately, there are hilly gravel roads...

    What's on your mind?

I also think there's a lot of misunderstanding over who God is. What we call God is defined in John 1:1 and Exodus 3:14. His person is fundamentally closer to order, logic, and existence itself than to a god (a lowercase god can be anything really). I think this helps explain why for centuries...

Human. Slightly different morphology, but they were people as far as I'm aware. There's evidence that they had language, culture, and could bear children with modern humans. To the extent that they still live on in our DNA, I don't necessarily view them as extinct. More like absorbed, which also...

    What's on your mind?

I recently joined a Discord called "Ancients of VRChat". It's for fellow adults, and will hopefully allow me to enjoy the social aspects of the game. Their calendar includes things like mini golf, dance lessons, and other virtual events. As somebody who dances in VR for fitness and fun, the...

How did you save money today?

I use a credit card and pay the balance in full every month. I save money by not owing interest, and also by earning cash rewards. Rather than opting for travel, gift cards, or trinkets, the reward money contributes to paying off the balance. Doing this helps me maintain a good credit score...

Is it possible to be a CD and DVD person in 2022?

I've recently rediscovered my CD collection, and I'm thinking about buying one of those oversized old-school CD binders to take in the car when visiting family. Usually, I just plug in my phone or a thumb drive, but the stereo also has a 6 CD changer that doesn't get much use. As they say...

I've long been fascinated with the Vasa.

Why does it seem Feminism,Lesbianism and Androphobia go hand in hand?

Ironically, some of those feminists are childless themselves. I find it hard to take people like them seriously. Like I said though, unless your extended family is also childless the same genes that comprise your DNA will continue. Regardless of whether you personally have children.

Why does it seem Feminism,Lesbianism and Androphobia go hand in hand?

The way I see it, birds of a feather flock together. Rare birds often fly solo because there aren't as many like themselves. They may not want to waste their time and energy paired up with somebody who is obviously incompatible. I think people exaggerate the eccentricities of folks like Isaac...

    Is life going by faster?

I've heard it explained that each passing year represents an increasingly smaller percentage of our life experienced so far, which can make it feel like time is moving faster.

How did you save money today?

I drink the free coffee at work. Others go elsewhere to buy theirs. They may not pay much per cup, but it adds up over time.

What are you listening to right now? (24)

I've always liked this one, and it has such a cool story. A favorite to play on piano, with the school band, at church on Christmas eve, etc. Which reminds me of Will Vinton's claymation animated version. Such a talented artist. I managed to capture a VHS recording of this when I was a kid. The...

What are you watching right now?

As somebody who has worked with VR for a while now, I find stuff like this more encouraging than not. To see people using it to overcome social anxiety in real life, to create, to escape for a moment, to find moral support, to grew as individuals, and to have fun while doing so is pretty neat.

I am starting to prefer music over tv, movies and other video!

I prefer music. Not only is it easier to multitask while listening, but my mind provides the visual imagery. Similar to reading a book, and how the visuals we get from a book are often better than the movie. There's also a subjective element to most good music. We supply much of the meaning...

Why does it seem Feminism,Lesbianism and Androphobia go hand in hand?

Some women use feminism to justify their androphobia, but a fear of men isn't a feminist value. There are feminists who neither hate nor fear men. However, most women who fear or hate men seem to assume the feminist label. They're the ones who want to "stick it to the man" rather than the ones...

    What's on your mind?

Between new opportunities, kitchen updates, a health scare with my dad (he's feeling better), traveling to visit family, and focusing on hobbies, I haven't been posting as frequently. In terms of faith, I've been thinking a lot about who Jesus is. Not just his time walking among us, but his...

    Respect for diversity without respect

It is possible to sincerely respect others and yet disagree with them. Decorum, common courtesy, and benevolent intentions go a long way toward making this possible. Unless somebody defines respect as conforming to everybody else's opinions, I don't see a problem here. I am also a free...

Why can't we do more or less whatever we want?

"Everything is permissible for me"--but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible for me"--but I will not be mastered by anything." - 1 Corinthians 6:12 Not wanting to hurt others is a start, but don't forget about your own well-being. Consider whether the implications and...
