Yer true, but I mean, if money was not an issue at all. Then our current technology can get us colonising past Alpha Centauri right? Even if it would take 120 years to get there...

Yeah, but aren't we just scanning a certain range of the EM band? I think that's the problem. We're assuming they're transmitting along the 1420Mhz (?) band.

Also, if ETs are thousands or even millions of years more advanced than us, I'm sure they will be using communication methods far beyond radio.

I think I've read where they could create propulsion systems now that could get us there in 50 years or so. Would just cost a bazillion dollars.

However if contact with an extraterrestrial civilization does occur and these beings had only a literal concept of God and evolution had never occured to them, I'd say it would stir up some serious problems in scientific circles. Esp. if they were highly intelligent.

I have an idea - perhaps the discussion of what hypothetical aliens may or may not believe and its hypothetical impact on earth's religion or science is really refined iffy speculation.

Perhaps. Regardless what these aliens believe, it wouldn't change the evidence here on Earth.

This is a silly discussion here; there are no aliens of life period in space, anywhere. Jesus created it all & He did it for His purpose here on planet earth with mankind.

If God created the universe and life only exists on earth, why is space so big? If that is the case, then why does space exist at all?

Do you believe that the sun revolves around the earth?

How do you know there are no aliens? The Bible never says humans were the only beings in the image of God, or the only planet with life is earth.

Question: What if the way that "they", worship the unkown is to also devolop a "god Inspired", word and theirs says WE are fallen angels? What if that is how "they" will explain our existence. What if the whole Universe is teaming with life and they each thought this way, that would be assuming they all are xenophobic though...

Either, that or he does not understand the enormous scale. He may be thinking "Solar System"...if there was nothing else (taken from a religious viewpoint) why would there need to be ANYTHING else even outside our own Galaxy?

God created man perfect and gave them a choice to sin or not to sin. Unfortunately, the first humans sinned, but what if they wouldn’t have. Well, being perfect, man would be extremely advanced intellectually and in our technology. With no sin in the perfect world, there would be no death. So it wouldn’t take long for this world to reach it’s maximum capacity. God created the infinite outer space for a reason. So that once Earth was full humans could expand deep into space. Their expansion would be infinite, just like the universe. But we have fallen, and the universe is there to show just how powerful and magnificent God is. But, you ask, if God knows everything, then He would have known that humans would sin before he even created the universe. So why did He create it? He had to show man his options. These are just my thoughts, but it gives you something to think about.

I disagree Joehnieboy, If God created us is because He is God and pleased him to do so, he created the Human to live Happy and not to Sin, so he created us for love as it's what he really is. You're wrong that god created Adam and Eva because he knew they were going to sin and you say he knows it everything..... ok but he gave them a choise and warned them about temptations the devil had in mind, so who did they listen instead? The Devil and it's why Sin excists today. God Gave them a choise either to live full of love OR to Sin, They chose to Sin, and here we are. But God Loves us so much that he sent his own son JESUS to die for OUR SINS. And that's why we have the opportunity to go to heaven and live For Ever.




Well, since it doesn't really say in the Bible anything about aliens, I think that if they do excist that they are not a good thing, because if they excist why do they Hide all the time? Why don't they show up? God only knows, and he is God Creator of the Universe he can create what ever that pleases him to Create.
