John 12 says Mary of Bethany annointed Jesus six days before Passover would that be friday or saturday ?especially as from 6pm friday to 6pm Saturday is the Jewish sabbath. Also Mark lists the same event as happening two days before passover so who is correct ?

Joh 12:1 Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.

2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.

3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.

Mr 14:1 After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.

Mr 14:3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.

Two different events.

Mary was named in the first, but only a "Woman" in the "second".

Mary poured it on his "FEET", the "woman" poured on his "HEAD".

In the first, Jesus was at "Lazarus and Martha house", in the second he was at "Simon's House".

"Important information" is only found in the "minor details", don't overlook them.

I tend to believe it was the same woman
The dinner could have been at Simon s house and Martha helped.
Perhaps she annointed Jesus s head and feet
I don not see the words Lazuras and Martha s that could be conjuncture on your part.
Thank you for your imput but you did not answer my questions.

I think it was Saturday after 6PM which would be when the Sabbath would have officially ended and work such as cooking could start again.

I really don't know who is right about how many days before it happened, but from everything I've read there seems to be 2 separate incidences of Jesus being annointed in the scriptures.
