... I've been having a ruff time lately. I have been slipping a lot in my walk towards righteousness in life and in God. But my biggest problem is im really parniod. IM not worried about dying but I'm just worried like someone or something is out to get me. Yeah might sound silly but it really is effecting me and gets in my way. IM always looking over my shoulder or doggin direct paths. I talk to the Lord about it but I just don't know how to overcome this I guess. So if any of you have advice or a certain verse that can help ease my troubled mind I'd be much obligized.

My Pastor covered this once when you feel like Satan is after you. You don't need any special verse just say any verse that comes to mind. The word of God is all you need. You can even just say GEN 1:1 In the begining .......Or if you really need something go to Psalm 23 The Shepherd's Prayer
The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want ........... Read it over and over again til you have it memorized
I hope this helps some

And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve, (Isaiah 14:3)

<<A Psalm of David.>> The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalms 27:1)

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (John 14:1-3)

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. (Isaiah 43:2)

For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. (Psalms 27:5)

For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall. (Isaiah 25:4)

The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. (Nahum 1:7)

Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. (2 Corinthians 1:4)

I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. (Psalms 34:4)

But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the LORD: and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art afraid. (Jeremiah 39:17)

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. (John 14:18)

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30)

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (John 16:33)

And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. (Job 1:21)

And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. (Psalms 50:15)

Don't assume this is a spiritual problem; it may be psychological. Have you talked to a physician about this?

Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

I agree with the others here... getting a medical assessment is always a good place to start...
The fact you're able to identify that there is more then a normal amount of 'anxiety' related thought process occuring is a good thing AND also a prayer already answered. God has given a grace toward a healing path.. even through your ability to question this.

Make an appontment with your MD.. discuss this concern and the MD will offer further directions.

p.s.
You don't need to memorize a verse to pray.
Wanting to pray is a prayer.
